I'm happy this series is still getting love; I'm not happy, however, that despite having a North American build, we still don't have any English translations, so whatever kind of new features they are adding is beyond me, atm. ^^;

The biggest change is that the screen is actually a touchscreen, so they're incorporating some kind of new note to make use of it! They're also adding a Bingo system for unlocking things by completing tasks, and they've tweaked the ranking system so you can now see how well you did in more detail. They're also adding in a mode similar to Time Free in IIDX where you can play as many songs as you want within a time limit while VIP users will get even more time.
That's all I can gather, so far.

From what I've read, it wasn't really popular in Japan, because it's too similar to Maimai and Chunithm; Personally, I think it also didn't help things, stateside, that the series never received an English translation, despite having a North American version running at R1 locations, so that probably scared off some would-be players, since the menus are kinda hard to navigate, because of that.
If Twitter is any indication, it was fairly popular in the US, since I actually saw Wacca trending, for a couple days!

"anyone goin to popn gamers?" |
still surprised they never made an english patch...pretty unusual especially for a game that saw a fairly large amount of overseas success.

So, it's not English after all? I thought this game would last longer due to how it has been trending since it began.

Game flopped in Japan. Chunithm and Mai Mai have bigger presences there and Wacca (something that plays like a lovechild of both) couldn't compete. Coming out only months before a pandemic didn't help either.

that and working with sega when they were devesting from much of their arcade stuff not the best ideal me thinks the us cabs were the old "crap no one playing quick ship it to round 1 like the old maimai/CHUNITHM cabs"

"Bigger avatars when?" |
Yes, it did. I don't see the value in bumping Wacca Reverse's thread to announce this info, but go off I guess.

i go to eSpot in richmond bc regularly and their wacca cab is running a usa/international ver, everything is in English except for voice lines iirc
pretty sure it's official although i'd have to do my research. i'm no expert after all
