Exactly as the title says. Say whatever details/errors, no matter how small, annoy you in various BEMANI games. Bonus points if you can over-explain why.
I'll start off an example in DDR:
Anti-Matter's Stream value isn't supposed to be 178.
Long story short, The game uses the song's length and step count to calculate stream. The longer the song, the lower potential stream rating. The length of the song is determined from when the words "HERE WE GO!" appear on screen, to when the "STAGE CLEAR" text shows up. Typically, the start of the song is around 2 measures before the first note. However, in Anti-Matter's case, the start happens WAY earlier than it should, which artificially lowers the Stream rating.
POSSESION'S BPM is 185... except it's not.
It's actually about 184.997. You'd think this wouldn't matter, but as someone obsessed with syncing songs as accurately as possible, it matters A LOT. Obviously, POSSESSION isn't the only song with this kind of problem, but if I stated every song in the game with this issue, then I wouldn't have made this post at all.
^EDIT: I don't know how I came to this conclusion. POSSESSION's BPM is just a flat 185.
Why do we still not have an official 20?
Not that anybody's asking for a 20, but imagine this. The "first" 18s appeared in 2006/07, with FAXX CSP, Pluto R, Paranoia Hades, etc.. Then, Valkyrie Dimension was the first 19 from DDR X2, in 2010 (2011 for US/EU). That was 4-5 years apart. It has now been TEN/ELEVEN years since X2, where we've been receiving new 19s over time. Isn't it about time we stepped up to the next level?
Play Hard in A20 uses the original version instead of the "New Edit."
This is more of an opinion, but I would've preferred the newer version instead of the original.
I don't like Wicked Plastik's EXPERT chart.
For me, it's quite underwhelming. It needs a 14-15 challenge chart.
It mildly pisses me off when someone plays singles alone on the right pad.
There's literally nothing wrong with it, but I just hate it for some reason.

I've always wondered why this is the case. Why in the world would someone produce an electronic song with a BPM of 184.997 instead of just 185? I assume there is some sort of software limitation, built into DDR that makes such a BPM easier to sync but not sure what at all.
Anyway, some of my own.
888 never actually reaches 888 BPM. Like seriously, you had one job.
On a more serious note the one that bothers me the most is the RAINBOW noteskin. With all these new 24th swing songs they've been adding, it would have been really nice to still be able to use the RAINBOW noteskin for them. BUT, since each 24th arrow is the same color as the note right AFTER it, then it is much harder to read than 16ths, which essentially forces me to use NOTE instead. If they had simply made it so that way they were the same color as they would have been for 16ths, it would be way easier to read (provided the song doesn't switch back and forth between 16th and 24th swing, but even then, that's still just a timing thing)
But an even better solution, just use up ALL of the colors that are in the NOTE skin for the RAINBOW note skin. Like green never shows up in the RAINBOW noteskin, and it totally could. Like just use the whole frickin rainbow for gosh sake, I mean its in the name.
Its been long overdue, the RAINBOW noteskin needs an upgrade.

in ddr supernova, tierra buena's songwheel font has 2 spaces (or maybe it's one full width space, who knows)

Max300 Super Max Me Mix in Supernova has its Strike song wheel card, at least on the US CS version. Even if you’ve never played Strike (Strike’s font is the same as the Extreme 2 font) you can notice it easy because the font is different than every other song on the song wheel. This is really weird because other songs that were in Strike that weren’t even in Supernova AC or JPCS got new song wheel cards but Super Max Me Mix was in Supernova AC and still doesn’t have one, and once you notice it’s annoying as fuck.
Edit: realizing I wasn’t sure about Supernova AC I had to look it up and this was the best quality video I could find. At 1:30 you can see Max300 Super Max Me Mix has the same song wheel card font as every other song.

And at 5:13 you can see on the PS2 version it’s the only song on the song wheel in italics.

Edit 2: why won’t my YouTube work?

Your Youtube embedder won't work because you're using the youtu.be shortcut instead of the full youtube.com/watch=v?xxxxxxxx.

I think it's even more baffling that after having only 3 or so 16s in as many years, they jumped straight to introducing 18s at the same time as 17s in SuperNOVA.

I guess this is minor metadata stuff, but it really irks me out when sometimes a song artist is credited with "Remixed by X" even though the title already have "X Remix" (e.g. We're So Happy (P*Light Remix), Hollywood Galaxy (DJ NAGAI Remix), THE SHINING POLARIS (kors k remix), etc). Why didn't they put the original artist in the credit if the remixer is mentioned in the title? Or at least "Y Remixed by X" if the remixer's name must present in the artist credit as well.

Yeah, it's kinda weird.
U1
U1-ASAMi
U1 underground
U1 overground
U1 High-Speed
And it goes on...
Here's another one. I haven't seen it for myself, but according to Remywiki, MAKE A JAM! from 2nd Mix is placed in DDR A's folder. They treat it as if it's never been in the game before.

There are 20s already in the game. They're called the doubles 19s.
. . . although, I guess the fact that most of them haven't been re-rated to 20s yet can be a small annoyance in itself.

Another thing that annoys me, the folder shuffling of some songs since the Extreme days. I know they’ve been consistent for a long time now, and that Home Version folder would be freaking crowded so that would have to be sorted to Hottest Party, Ultramix, Universe, etc but moving songs like Drop Out to the 4th Mix folder when the Solo folder should still exist, same for the Club Version songs being moved, that bugs me. Those songs aren’t from 2nd and 4th Mix.

Funk Boogie . JFC where to begin.
1) The chart is clearly unfinished. The first half feels weirdly like a beta version of the chart, then there's a weird 2-measure gap of no notes, and then the rest of the chart is literally identical to the chart.
2) Konami revised quite a few CS charts before porting them to Supernova (including a THIRD unique set of charts for GORGEOUS 2012, of all things) but somehow didn't think this was worth fixing.
3) Despite this, Funk Boogie was not removed in X, despite a number of less deserving CS/SN1 songs getting axed for no reason (Drivin', Hunting For You, Ki-Se-Ki, Rainbow Flyer).
4) Konami looked at the chart, KNEW it was incomplete, and instead of taking the 15 minutes to make a new chart, decided a rating spread of 4/5/4/8 was acceptable and called it a day.
And this is why Funk Boogie is symbolic of Konami's inconsistent QoL practices.
Also DIVE never being revived beyond 5th MIX is really weird.

There are a couple of CLUB ver. songs in DDRMAX CS (US), some of which would never appear in a DDR game again, and because these songs appeared before 3rd Mix, they don't have Expert Double charts. Instead of doing what they did with EXTREME and making new Expert Double charts for these songs, they just duplicated the Standard Double charts and called it a day, which is really goddamn lazy. It would have been very interesting to see how they could have made harder charts for songs like 22DUNK or DEEP IN YOU which already have very hard Standard Double charts.
OR you just revive some Club version songs in AC DDR you cowards

Technically it was but it was during a time when they weren’t making new arcade versions worldwide. Dive is in Festival which didn’t have an arcade version and Dancing Stage Fusion including it’s arcade version.Quote: FoRCeDNaTuRe
