What's the offset for "INNOCENCE OF SILENCE"?
The off-set that was in my simfile was (obviously) off-sync; I've managaed to use autosync, but it still doesn't feel like it's on sync.
I ask because my edit for the song showed that it's off-sync.

The gap's listed as 96, which would be an offset of -0.096. It does sound late, though the different BPMs are driving me nuts (almost seems like the ending is slightly later, which doesn't make sense) and the closest I can get is -0.056 or -0.066.
So yeah, I'm just tiding you over until someone who's actually good at syncing steps in, haha.

With the autosync, I have the offset to -0.060. It still feels a little off before and after the slowdown.

I tested it from my laptop by the assist tick and it seemed best around -0.090, but hitting the keys with the assist tick was giving me greats and perfects because my laptop is laggy like that.
The assist tick alone (ITGPC's) tells me something around -0.090.

I ripped the actual BPM changes from the arcade. Paste this over what is currently in your .SM file. If you don't have an .SM but only .DWI, you need to go to EDIT/SYNC from the main menu and save the file to create an .SM
#BPMS:0.000=123.460,0.000=141.980,64.000=71.010,96.000=89.020,106.000=105.990,118.000=142.010;
Yes decimals do make a difference. I kept my offset at -0.094.
Also, make sure your simfile shows a constant display BPM of 142 as it does in the arcade. I believe al2k4 still has not fixed this yet.
You can do this by pasting the following code in your .SM/.DWI
#DISPLAYBPM:142;
#BPMS:0.000=123.460,0.000=141.980,64.000=71.010,96.000=89.020,106.000=105.990,118.000=142.010;

Huh, what's "0.000=123.460" for then? I haven't seen two different BPMs for the same time before o.o;

I think the intended meaning is that the game shows the arrows moving at 123.460 BPM before beat zero of the stepchart is reached and 141.980 BPM after. IIRC StepMania doesn't have the ability to set a different BPM "before beat zero," even though such a situation arises in some other DDR songs. 0.000=123.460 should probably be left out of the simfile (I did that and it seems to work fine).
Sorry if my explanation is not clear enough.

Thanks. I always get a high number of Perfects and Greats when I play this song, and I've never thought anything of it.
And if there's a discrepancy in the displayed BPM, I'd rather have the most accurate one.

Two questions:
1. Does the BPM display have an effect on the BPM changes?
2. Do we need "0.000=123.460" to be in the simfile? eighty5cacao says that without it it seems to work fine.
Edit: Nevermind, I just copied and pasted it, and it works just as fine. Thanks Raf!
