Been thinking about this a lot. I love DDR and grew up on Bemani, but DJMAX's soundtrack just hits me different some classic tracks from both Neowiz and Konami.
I love Taiko but I would say it's music style is not varied enough; however I can understand why people would love the extensive collection of anime/vocaloid songs and video game music.
What game has the best soundtrack? Would love some opinions

Amplitude on PS4 so far has my absolute favourite quality ratio.
Games like every DDR mix always have plenty of bangers, but there's always some average stuff and always a couple of stinkers. Amplitude is one of the few rhythm games I can think of where I enjoyed every single song.

crossbeats (+rev):
- very few touhou/vocaloid songs
- fuckton of originals
- quality artist variety, including a lot of artists who have never appeared in a rhythm game before (or after)
- great song variety
- few "bad" originals
- like 15 licenses from attack the music (plus originals from atm artists)
- feryquitous, before appearing in like 10 other rhythm games

Pop’n Music, Beatmania IIDX and Tone Sphere. I used to like lots of hardcore speedcore EDM, but now I like energetic and a bit slower music. Some of my favorites
Pop’n Music: Trixxxter, Southern Cross, Nadeshiko Metal (Girl With The Black Hair)
Tone Sphere: Finite, Stager, Astra Walkthrough
Beatmania IIDX: Raspberry heart, Smoooch, Sigsig
Other: Kimono Princess, Din Don Dan
