So, I just got a Chromebook as a replacement for my old laptop. However, I didn't know that it operated on a separate OS. And I can't figure out how to install Stepmania on this new OS. Can someone please help?

AFAIK Chromebook is a Gentoo Linux-based OS, so you can follow this guide. For dependencies installing, I think you could use the Debian-based instruction since Chromebook should have an APT. IDK if it could fetch all the dependencies, but try it.

You can use Parallels Desktop for Chrome OS, just go on to Google Play Web Store on your chromebook, and search Parallels Client, click install, and then it will get Windows 10 vm working, then you can install Stepmania on there.
