Quaver is a community-driven and open-source competitive rhythm game with two game modes and online leaderboards. Create your own maps or challenge the world in online multiplayer matches.
Its pretty much a better osu!mania.

I played quite a bit of Quaver back then. As a person who has been in osu!mania community for years, I can't say it's a better osu!mania by much. It does have a better scoring system where accuracy is more favorable instead of combo, and the inclusion of music rate is one that I appreciate much as opposed to fixed Halftime (0.75x) and Doubletime (1.5x) music rate.
But from the charts availability, it currently only supports 4K and 7K, which probably is the most popular osu!mania keymodes. Still being limited to 4 and 7 key is somewhat hurting the variety of the available charts. Not to mention if you were looking for more maps/charts that are different and less rigid than the current meta of osu!mania, you won't really get that as it's pretty much the same meta. Also some just plainly converting their osu!mania maps into Quaver altogether so there's that.
I'd still say to give it a try though, if you haven't yet.

It's like StepMania, but with osu!mania 4K and 7K charts. Yea I think that sums it up pretty quick.
