I am wanting to add Attacks to my simfiles, currently a custom chart for ACE FOR ACES, but when I add an Attack in Edit Mode and replay it to watch its results, StepMania freezes up and crashes every time. So far, I have only checked the TURN Attack, Super Shuffle, to be exact. Reading the StepMania official wiki shows multiple formats for writing Attacks on the Notepad end, but that didn't help either. Maybe there's incorrect coding involved?
Edit: I tested this out on both my laptop and new all-in-1 desktop. Both systems crash when trying to do this. It seems to be a bug in the coding...

ACE FOR ACES and CHAOS Terror-tech Mix are only songs that have BPM splitted across difficulties. if you create a SM file, you have troubles unless split all charts that have BPM splitted.

As far as I know, turn mods like Left, Right, Mirror and Shuffle don't work as Attacks. I tried adding Shuffle at the very end of Tohoku EVOLVED once so the last jump could be random just like the official chart, but the game crashed. Other mods should be fine.
@VR0 - That has literally nothing to do with the problem Nobar JKO is having.

@Gameoson: If TURN isn't working as an Attack, what is it working as? It appears that portion of the coding in Edit Mode is messed up on the manual end. It is nice to know I'm not the only one having that issue with 5.0.12, at least.

TURN works in normal gameplay, you're able to select it just like any other mod. If you want to mirror a chart, you can. You just can't script it as an Attack.

That would explain why Tohoku EVOLVED has four separate simfiles for it, lol. I'm guessing it would take some knowledge of either .lua or .xml to make a TURN Attack work since it doesn't currently work with the #ATTACKS tag.

The problem is probably that it can't be applied at song runtime, but you can apply it during ScreenStageInformation and turn it off in the results screen if you want it really badly. Of course it would only work in your own theme then...
Alternatively you can make "fake" arrows using lua but they don't affect the score so it's kind of useless. (I don't mean fake arrows in the editor, I mean arrows that are drawn and displayed using lua)
Or option 3: Create the chart in advance without using attacks and then make it a hidden chart, then select it in ScreenStageInformation. But then the score won't be shown in music select unless you modify the source and add the function to copy scores to other songs/charts, so it's also not useful. (This is what I was going to do for Tohoku EVOLVED)

This is fixed in StepMania 5.3, so you can apply turn mods at any point as attacks. We've also fixed the 3 decimal point problem that comes alongside it, but that's going to Alpha 5.

@Jose_Varela: I will make sure to get StepMania 5.3 on here ASAP.
