Where do the simfiles come from? Are they Zenius files with difficulties swapped to old ones or are those the old DDR UK packs?

I was also curious if the files used are the current ones beware is using (DDR:Uk) or have been updated with the ZIv files that use the correct offset/bpm/stops, basically the official data.

Also, I heard someone is working on a convert to SM5, so it'd probably be worth waiting for that as 3.9 doesn't read bpm/stops correctly.

All simfiles are from Zenius with their difficulty levels reverted to the old rating system (with the exception of those that were already in beware's sim), so all of them are synced very well Wink

Amazing, will be grabbing this then. I have planned on doing the exact same thing + bumping up the resolution of backgrounds / banners using AI. Thank you for your work Smile

edit: Have you also fixed in which categories files are? There are some errors in 4th mix that I have described here:
https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/thread?postid=433588#p431806

Okay, I see that the sort is slightly different but you put it corretly into Solo Mix stuff. I will need to tinker with this for my needs but still great job! Smile

DDR 1st Mix:
- missing Kung Fu Fighting (the non-remixed version)
- missing That's The Way (I Like It)
- missing MONEY (unreleased DDR 1st file)
- files seem to be missing solo and couple steps? (Butterfly (S+C), Let's Get Down (S+C), Little Bitch (S+C), Make it Better (S+C), PARANOiA (S+C))
- missing jackets compared to ZIV version
- HAVE YOU NEVER BEEN MELLOW - wrong difficulties, should be 1/2/4/7 and currently is 2/4/5/7

Kind of sounds like you're using DDR:uk simfiles for all 240 songs that come with beware's Extreme, with bad bpms/stops/offsets, and then thrown in all others from ZIv that use the official offsets/bpms/stops.

I think I'll wait for that SM5 convert, I don't see much point in this, as we could already add files to beware's Extreme anyway, and enable marvelous timing. Also, I don't think beware has any involvement in what you're doing, so I wouldn't really call it "beware AND" SheepyChris' DDR Extreme Ominmix. (and again, 3.9 doesn't read files correctly)

Eh, seems like this is the case. Just checked Butterfly

#SAMPLELENGTH:8.500;
#SELECTABLE:YES;
#DISPLAYBPM:135.000;
#BPMS:0.000=134.935;

and should be

#OFFSET:0.000;
#SAMPLESTART:64.580;
#SAMPLELENGTH:15.000;
#SELECTABLE:YES;
#DISPLAYBPM:135.000;
#BPMS:0.000=31.250,4.000=134.922;

Oh well, back to the drawing board for me.

I've avoided replacing the simfiles already available to not crucially break any courses/scripting that the game already had. If I can figure out how to do so without breaking anything and have enough time to do it, I'll release revision 2 with those changes as well.

About the Extreme songs, read above. If you consider copy and pasting what's already available in this website and don't mind the broken font for the song wheel, missing CDTitles, modern ratings, no Marvelous display in the evaluation screen and out of order folders, then you shouldn't be posting in this thread to begin with. Also, beware has all of the rights to be credited as well, considering he has done much of the heavy lifting with the engine and theme. Attitude like yours is what have discouraged productive members of the community from releasing good things here. Please tell me if any of the DDRUK simfiles are unplayable as well.

Just because somebody asked you whether or not you're using old/outdated files from 2003, or using the official data available here on ZIv, and then state that they'd rather wait for an updated SM5 version using official data, in a program that reads data more precisely does not mean that somebody has an attitude problem.

Also, don't make it out as if I'm trying to discredit somebody who I've been talking to for the past 12 years, and am pretty close with, I know how hard he works on things, I've been there whilst he's been working on it, and even helped out little bits here and there (with syncing, testing etc) and he wasn't aware of your project... you're just using his name and his build, and have added some files and a couple of mods.
