Note: This post is based on a private message I sent to tons of users. But almost nobody answered me and the few users who answered me have not helped me at all. So I am going to do this publicly to see if you are willing to help me once and for all.

Hello everyone. I need your help

It turns out that I'm doing a project that consists of ripping the songs from the beatmania, beatmania IIDX and pop'n music games in BMS and PMS respectively. In an attempt to get the Ziv community to approve of the idea of including a simfile section dedicated to uploading songs in BMS and PMS of those mentioned games

It should be noted that this task was somewhat complicated for me. Since after ripping a few songs from beatmania and beatmania IIDX, try ripping pop'n music songs from both AC games and CS games.

I have tried to use the Scharfrichter to rip the songs from the MAME roms, but once they are ripped, they come out in BMS format and out of sync.

Try using the PMSee-V to be able to play the PMS songs and see if the chart and keysounds are ok, but it gives me an error when trying to use it. Both in the BMSE and in the iBMSC.

Then on the Bemedia Ripper, I want to rip songs from pop'n music CS games. But they come out in CS9 format and I couldn't find a program to convert it to PMS.

After that, I have tried to extract the animations from the beatmania games that come out when you play different songs, both from MAME and PSX, but I did not find any tool capable of converting those animations into BMP images.

Lastly, try searching for various programs to extract the sprites and animations of rival characters from pop'n music games, for both MAME, PSX and probably PS2 games and data from AC games that use the arcade board. Bemani PC. But I had no result.

So please, I need your help, I need you to find me all kinds of solutions and the appropriate programs to be able to do this kind of task.

I want the Ziv community to know that BEMANI is not just DDR. It is also beatmania IIDX, pop'n music, SDVX, GITADORA, jubeat and NOSTALGIA respectively.

Have you researched already whether people already ripped those or not?

I'm not sure why you keep insisting on adding IIDX/Pop'n BMS/PMS section in ZIv. First of all, the community that demanded IIDX/Pop'n convert in BMS are niche. There are numerous good BMS files already (300+GB essential stuff as you can see in here alone, not to mention this hosts more download links for more BMS files). Also, it's harder to rip those files from the existing games than creating new music altogether, stem and cutting those tracks, and create new chart from it so most people won't bother doing it. At least with DDR to StepMania, you won't need to reverse engineer the chart from the game to emulate the experience.

I personally don't see the point in setting up an entirely new database for IIDX and pop'n files when the amount of effort needed to create or reverse engineer charts and songs from both games is quite a good amount, and not many people here have an interest in doing so in the first place. There are already sites out there that host these kinds of files and the community here is more oriented towards DDR and simfile making as it is much more user friendly and accessible.

Also, I can safely say that the vast majority of members on this site are aware of other BEMANI games, and quite a lot of us play them along with DDR. DDR just had the most profound effect on many of us. We know beatmaniaIIDX and pop'n music are around, they've been around as long as (if not longer) than DDR and these games share songs with each other quite frequently. beatmania is the game that the BEMANI brand got its name from.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't try to continue to get these files and maybe host them somewhere else and share them, but getting the admin of this site to create a brand new database and such for other games when the demand for those files isn't that big just won't happen.

I hope this doesn't discourage you from continuing to preserve content from these games. I'm just being realistic.

The pages that those constituents in these links. You only have the beatmania IIDX BMS from 1st to SPADA. Therefore it does not have BMS based on the songs of PENDUAL, copula, SINOBUZ, CANNON BALLERS and Rootage. And I have bets that they don't have BMS songs from their CS counterparts either.

And you know how difficult it is to find the beatmania classic songs (5-key). Reason why I want to rip the songs to share them to the public so that they can test and fix them.

About pop'n music. The same thing happens to me with the beatmania classic songs. They are difficult to get, so I have to rip those songs myself to be able to share them publicly. But I couldn't find the proper tools.

The BMS terminal used to host the CS songs but they disappeared when the site got revamped. They might be still saved on the internet archive but I don't think there's a lot of them.
