Simfiles section for beatmania IIDX and pop'n music. (2nd try)

I had a lot of interest with the beatmania, beatmania IIDX and pop'n music franchises.

Since, I was already tired of DDR. Dancing on a dance floor was too repetitive, and I don't have any dance floor, just a joystick.

I had many games with Stepmania playing songs from the DDR. but I saw that it was already too repetitive and I ended up leaving that.

Until I realized that Stepmania has game modes based on 5-key beatmania, beatmania IIDX and pop'n music.

I wanted to find the songs of those games to download and play them in Stepmania, but almost all pages are down, and if a page is active, you have links down.

So. I want a sub-section of simfiles for beatmania IIDX and pop'n music. Because this website does not have a section dedicated to the classic 5-key beatmania, the 5-key beatmania songs are included in the beatmania IIDX simfiles section.

And I want you to update the links to add animated backgrounds, videos and characters to have an experience closer to that of the official games.

And also themes based on official games to have an experience even closer to that of official games.

I know that Dance Dance Revolution is the most popular franchise of the games of the BEMANI line, this does not mean that they leave aside the games of that line. Since BEMANI comes from beatmania, and if it wasn't for that game, I wouldn't have the DDR franchise that you love too much.

For me. play with the keyboard playing different notes to reproduce the correct sound according to each song. It's more fun than dancing on a dance floor.

Here is the list of names of the games that you should look for, and try to rip the songs and charts in BMS and PMS format respectively and to upload it on the same ZIv page through a simfiles section that is completely separate from the simfiles section from DDR.

Have you looked into LR2? It's probably what you are envisioning.
No one is going to spend their time porting that stuff on to stepmania for less of a simulation since it exists in many forms elsewhere.

Yeah, good luck with that. BMS of beatmania, IIDX, and Pop'n aren't easily available publicly since they're usually dumped from pirated arcade data past console mixes, and this site isn't the place for discussion of that type of content.
Plus LR2 and most alternative BMS Players forbid the use of BEMANI BMS players to the point that Beatoraja has a built-in black list if you try to use those in it.
As for themes, there are a few LR2 skins based off older IIDX mixes, but that's all I know. Pop'n has never had a proper sim with character support besides the dead Feeling PoMu clone, and I don't expect anybody to make a replacement anytime soon.

Listen. Stop being stuck with playing Stepmania, just to play DDR similes.

Stepmania can do more than just be a simple DDR simulator. It has game modes based on beatmania IIDX and pop'n music. But you guys are ignorant and overlook those game modes which is why those modes have so many issues that need to be fixed.

Another thing they overlook. It is do not upload simfiles of beatmania IIDX and pop'n music in BMS and PMS to facilitate the search and therefore they do not have a section of their own, unlike the similes of DDR.

An advantage that Stepmania has with LR2 is that it is Open Source and has active development. While LR2 is Closed Source, so it is not fully customizable and its development is completely abandoned.

So. I ask the whole ZIv community to put up a section of simfiles from beatmania IIDX and pop'n music, to upload songs and charts of those games in BMS and PMS.

And when the day comes when my request is fulfilled. I want to see the community, doing all kinds of themes, update the BMS and PMS to add missing things like animations, videos and characters.

Well. Stepmania is Open Source, you can modify the code, improving it in certain aspects, aspects that you ignore. Being the beat and pop'n game modes. based on beatmania IIDX and pop'n music respectively.

What you're requesting is a huge amount of work, and the people that would be interested in doing it are busy developing on beatoraja (which is also open-source). Jousway already told you this.

If you want this to happen in StepMania, you will likely have to put in the effort yourself.

It's a cool idea, but there are already different methods to play what your asking for, which are mentioned above. It is alot of work to make this a reality in stepmania. You definitely could start the project and if you do it enough, you'll get followers that would be on board with helping out if they are interested enough.

Besides that, I've always thought of the 5key and 9key modes were pump it up and stepmaniax/rhythm heaven/popn stage/techno motion simulation modes. Could always have more content for that, but someone just has to create it. Could be you, be the pioneer. And try to be more polite when requesting or demanding something. It just comes off as rude otherwise. Which could work against you in the long run.
