For background videos, if the song has a custom video (Ex : Xepher, Doll, Max 300 Super Max Me Mix, Venus)
The simfiles come with that video if you download the video pack version on the zenius simfile area.

Now if it doesnt have a video and just want the dancer as well..

There is no way to emulate sn ac for now, the game requires a P2IO and it's made for PS2s. But you can use SN CS instead if you have a PS2.

As for the CS thing, CS (consumer software) refers to home versions, which for SuperNOVA is the PS2 version. Don't worry too much about it though, just use the Stepmania theme.

Clearly, it means the home release of DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA for the PlayStation 2 console.

There are 3 regional versions: the original Japanese one, the North American one, and the European one.

While all 3 home versions share the same gameplay mechanics and interface as the arcade version, none of them have all of the new licensed songs and KONAMI originals in the latter, but each of them also have their own console-exclusive songs.

Oh, and there's a story-based unlock system in the home versions.


No. The arcade version of SuperNOVA runs on a modified PS2 platform, and you simply cannot run the game disc onto a regular PS2 console or even a PS2-specific emulator. And you cannot use MAME to emulate it like the older DDR arcade games up to EXTREME.

You should of used Stepmania 5.
3.9 is very old and does not get updates anymore while Stepmania 5 still gets themes, and updates.

Eh, I'm on team "use 3.9 for the themes you like," but Inori's "wip" is way more complete and accurate than the 3.9 themes

Then use that one dude~ Don't let anyone tell u that you have to switch over to SM5 if 3.9 works perfect for you~ I would be using it if I didn't have poblems with 2 player mode.
Though I still think Irori's SM5 theme is just as, if not more complete (3d models instead of still images in select style).
