Our DDR Supernova has died again, the Python and/or hard drive failed in this machine a number of years ago.
We placed the PS2 and hard drive, appears it has failed again. Are these parts available anywhere, or is there an upgrade scenario for this machine?

Idk how well this would work, but could you possibly transfer the contents from the HDD to another Hard Drive? Idk if you have permission to do that. There are upgrade kits out there on sites like channelbeat.com but they probably haven't updated the site, so it's likely that it's out of stock. If you can't transfer to a fresh HDD, I'd highly suggest looking around ebay for upgrade kits.

Supposedly, transferring to a different hard drive worked on Fusion, so it's likely to be working on Supernova, too.

But then again, if the hard drive keeps failing, it's most likely not going to read.

I have a spare SuperNOVA board with original hard drive. The thing is, these hard drives are encrypted, and they only work with the board that was originally assigned to them. There is a serial number on the drive, so it's not normally possible to simply replace the drive. I'm also thinking that Betson either ceased to repair hard drives, or will charge excessively to repair or replace the drive. If you'd like more details, please PM me.
