[SM5] DanceDanceRevolution XX -STARLiGHT-

If you're running the original STARLiGHT, then no. It's made to be like DDR, so no CMOD is available.

STARLiGHT twopointzero, which has CMOD support, is not compatible with 5.0.12 and is only partially compatible with the commits that are on Github. The theme is specifically made for Project Outfox 5.3.

hi boy, could you fix this? I'm having the same problem 😔😔😔 does anyone know how to fix it?

I could only get audio sync (global offset) to stay if I edited preferences.ini manually in Outfox. And even then it never felt right and I couldn't stay on beat like I do on 5.1.

I had the same problem, i dosen't matter how many times i try to sync it, it just dosen't work so idk if is a problem in the theme or it is on outfox


No i couldn't, i had a dumb idea but i don't know if is gonna work. I had no idea about programation but maybe there's a documente where saved the audio sync so maybe... what if i copy and paste the sm5 sync on outfox?

Theme Update! (V2.1.0):

STARLiGHT twopointzero (v2.1.0)

Hello! After 2 months of development and delay, STARLiGHT -twopointzero- has a new release!

This update is dedicated to mostly bug fixes and Quality of Life updates.
Starting with this update, I would like to include images in the changelog so it will be hosted solely on the Github Releases page now so please be sure to take a look before downloading!

I'm trying to use this Characters and stages in STARLiGHT twopointzero (v2.1.0), but I need this file here: STARLiGTH twopointzero Patch V1.1
Could someone get me?

sorry to break it to you but that patch for this version of starlight doesnt exist yet.

the enciso dancing characters project is not affiliated with the xx starlight project or midflight digital
there is no patch for the project, and there are no plans to implement this feature in the future

Some questions.

How do I pick which songs have their music videos at full screen and which ones are featured in a stage?

How do I delay the start up of the theme? Can't describe it properly but here's the thing. The song "Girls just wanna have fun" has their steps start very soon, to the point that the "Ready" and "Here We Go" are still there as I hit the first few arrows. Same goes with "Love on my mind" which starts soon and the music video is late.

About the song videos you can configurate it on "song manager"

"in a stage" if this is about the enciso stuff again, may i direct you to the post directly above yours:
we have no setting to put videos in on non-existent stages because we have no stages in our game. hope that clears it up.

To start, all views in this post are my own.

Please note that Enciso's DanceStage project is not, and likely never will be officially supported by myself (Inori). Any pull requests, issues, or questions pertaining to it will be closed or ignored with no comment. DanceStages is a completely separate project. -twopointzero- is an ongoing project that will be updated and changed as time goes on.

Any changes made to the theme that break DanceStages support is not us purposefully breaking support. Code changes, files are updated. As DanceStages requires that it be patched into the theme, support will only continue as long as someone updates the patch alongside STARLiGHT's changes.

To avoid re-iterating what everyone else has said multiple times. I'm making this decision final;

I'm not supporting DanceStages.
I likely never will support DanceStages.
No one on the MidflightDigital team is a part of the DanceStages project.
We have no contact with Enciso or anyone who works on DanceStages.
We aren't going to help you try to add DanceStages to the theme.
We aren't purposefully breaking DanceStages support.

As the main theme developer, I'm tired of standing by and seeing these questions and issues pop up on a weekly basis. We enjoy having a tight knit community around the XX STARLiGHT project but this has to stop. Like I've said before, DanceStages is a completely different project that none of us work on or plan to work on.

I'm not stopping people from adding support themselves but please be sure to mention that the MD team will not provide support for unofficial changes to the theme.

There's support for DanceStages in other themes. Use them if you sorely need your DDR character fix.

Furthermore, XX STARLiGHT is MidflightDigital's Project. We have final say on what does and doesn't make the cut for anything pertaining to it. We try to do as much as we can but please know that not everything can or will be added.

You guys are a real dramatic bunch, huh.

Because I’m sure you’d enjoy being told countless times updates made to your product broke an unofficial patch someone else made after being told we haven’t helped develop it as much as the next guy, right?

Knock it off, we’ve been dealing with this for months and we’re putting this out there front and center to put a stop to it. I get you’re “anti-XX” or whatever but we don’t need you continuing to try to make us look bad here or anywhere else for that matter. Thank you.

I'm not anti-XX, I think your StepMania theme is wonderful and probably the best out there. I just think the overstated drama is.... dramatic!

Cool, then keep it to yourself and stop thinking your opinion needs to be brought up every time.

Our team constantly gets bombarded with questions from people about things that have nothing to do with our project, despite us saying time and again. I don't see how we are the dramatic ones here.

seeing that there's a stressful situation that's routinely elaborated on like talking to a brick wall and making snarky comments like this is counterintuitive. when your team members routinely get bombarded with people, day in and day out, asking about things that have nothing to do with what your main project is, and when you deal with people who see you say that there's no correlation and continue bombarding with the same questions, then maybe we will ask for your opinion on how to handle things.

It’s not at all difficult to see that the questions are popping up here because the stages/characters thread was deleted. I haven’t seen anyone say that they think you guys officially support it or expect the midflight digital team to answer the question, it’s being posted here because there isn’t a thread to post those questions in anymore so yeah it’s a bit dramatic. Labeling people who say it’s dramatic as just having some kind of grudge against you or being “anti-XX” is ridiculous.
