In The groove 2 r21 USB question

Today, I just played the In The Groove 2 (r21) with my 8GB sandisk cruzer USB 2.0 stick, but hours ago I ended up losing it. I scanned the entire arcade and asked all my friends and employees no one found it.

So now, I decided to buy the same kind of USB stick but 16GB (because 16GB is the lowest storage space available for sale)

I asked my friends who play DDR what sizes of sticks they use and one reported a stick with only 256 MB storage.

I once tried the machine with a nexxtech 32GB USB stick and the machine could only load 5 out of the 50 songs.

Has anyone been able to successfully use In The Groove 2 r21 with a 16 GB usb stick without reformatting it?

And does it work if I format any large stick (16GB+) as a 256 MB stick and use that for the game?

If not, then I guess I'll have to order smaller sticks on ebay and wait a while before playing ITG again

Odds are, what ever software is preinstalled on the usb is what is giving you problems. Just reformat to fat32 and you should be good to go.

I actually removed the software when I tried the 32GB stick.

I think that particular stick took a bit longer to load when I tried it in my linux machine.

The new 16GB stick seems to be formatted the same way as the 8GB stick when I use them out of the box.

Is there any specific parameters I need to use for the new FAT32 filesystem? (such as certain sectors per cluster and sector size)?

Just go with fat32 default allocation, and dont store any other data unrelated to simfiles.
