Port of the popular cross-platform rhythm game simulator.

StepMania is a free and open source, cross-platform rhythm game. It supports common key-based rhythm game formats (including 4-panel and 5-panel dance games among others), as well as Switch controllers (joycons recommended for their individual buttons), keyboard and dance pad controllers (ex: Gamecube ones with adapter). It is customizable with user-made add-ons such as themes, and provides an integrated editor for creating your own simfiles.
Getting Started
You can download the latest release here on github: https://github.com/retronx-team/stepmania-nx/releases.
Extract the archive in the /switch folder on your SD Card. Then, run the game from the hbmenu using hbl.
Be sure to run it as an app, it won't work as an applet (you may get a black screen and/or crashes).

- This works PERFECTLY with Simply Love.
- DDR A Theme works, but its super laggy.
- 0% Background Brightness IS A MUST.
- Videos are SUPER laggy.
- Must edit profiles in .ini (no keyboard support)
- I recommend using Atmosphere.
- DO NOT REMOVE ANY THEMES OR RENAME THEM.

This could open up a lot of doors if it gets running smoothly!

It already is! it works perfectly besides the Background lag and video lag.
if the theme has a video, it lags like crazy.

There's probably a video format or codec you can use that runs better, Smash Ultimate Hero's final smash is a video file, rather than a 3D animation, which is neat and proves it's possible. You might have to do some digging and reverse engineering, though...

Ok. With this, DDR won't want arriving in any console.

Last i heard is that the switch Codecs haven't been completely decompiled and don't know anything about it just yet.
