Hi, I just downloaded stepmania 5 Pump It Up several days ago, bought a dance pad, and starting to search and download more simfiles.
I downloaded Ben Speirs' Speirmix Galaxy https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewsimfilecategory.php?categoryid=897
It says it can be played for Stepmania 5, which contain .ssc, .sm, .ogg, etc.
I saw that it is under DDR (I guess it's Dance Dance Revolution).
My question is, are these simfiles made for DDR, and cannot be run in Pump It Up ? Cause My Step Mania Pump It Up just won't load them. When I choose the song category, it crashed.

yes, those are 4-panel steps
i don't think you can find 5-panel steps here
and lastly, be sure you put the folder labeling correctly

I think 4 panel simfiles cannot run in 5 panel, it crashes.

You could AutoGen Pump steps from the DDR steps if you were really desperate, but I would highly recommend you find files that are actually made for Pump.
