Hi, I just recently starting modernizing my stepmania setup and decided to go with the dancing character videos from SuperNOVA onwards. Read that they had to be installed in the theme under bganimations, did that, replaced the default.lua file like it told me, and now the character videos are working.
They're working so well that they have completely overridden every script for every song that I have in my playlist. How can I fix this and get it where songs that have their own videos (and some scripted songs from certain packs that have caused me to put a Randommovies folder in SM5) have their correct scripts.
I cannot figure this out and don't really look forward to trying to play some of my favorite songs with their original videos covered up. Please help me!

Not sure what's in your default.lua but you could add a clause:
It's a bit primitive but if you place that properly in the default.lua it should stop showing the character video and show the BGChanges that are underneath the video.
If you post up the code from the default.lua I can see if I can guide you as to where to place the code if you need help.
if GAMESTATE:GetCurrentSong():HasBGChanges() then
--Do nothing.
else
--Code to show character video here.
end;
--Do nothing.
else
--Code to show character video here.
end;

I actually went with another method, installed the SuperNOVA3 theme from here and used the SNCharacters method instead, works much better and isn't giving me any issues with songs with videos or scripted backgrounds, this problem has been solved.
