It has been a while since I last posted in this thread, but I finally got a chance to play DDR A for the first time yesterday in the Round1 Seattle location. Since the road trip to get there for me is quite long, however, it will be a while before I can get another play session in, so I decided to prioritize PFCing as many of the US licenses as I can (because who knows when they'll be removed). My MA was quite crap as I tried to re-adjust to the timing windows, but 8 new PFCs out of 16 in my very first ~3 hour session back is still quite a feat, I'd say.

Various scores from the last few days. Most proud of Nephilim Delta and Start A New Day because Nephilim is the hardest song I've PFC'ed so far (and it was a fucking struggle, so many flags) and Start A New Day was done on 4 hours of sleep, and yet it's the closest I've come to AAA'ing a 16. Literally a couple of greats would have made the difference, and I could probably get it if I was more well rested

Sorry to bump this, but have I got an achievement to share.
I've already done a number of PFC's on Basic and Difficult the past year since DDR A's been here, and after flubbing MAKE A JAM, Believe, I Want You To Know, Burnin' The Floor, and 1998 in the past, I finally have my first Expert PFC on Higher!
It's a 9, but I think it's best if I start small, then I'll do the higher (pun intented) difficulties soon.
Small bump. I've gotten three more PFC's the following weeks later.

And my first two Lv 11 PFC's

Might not seem like much, but this is actually a big milestone for me in more ways than one. This is my first AAA on a PS1 DDR game, first one in 5th Mix, first one on a Light chart (I mostly play on Heavy and Challenge), and most importantly, my first AAA on a Double chart!

I was able to do this back around 2010, which was when I was at my peak and being able to clear this song was my high-water mark. Roughly zero exercise and no DDR practice for over 5 years took a serious toll on my skills and at the start of this year, I was huffing and puffing after clearing 10s. In March I decided to GET SERIOUS about getting back into the game and set the goal of reaching my old height of doing this song by the end of the summer. Well, it's we're now well into autumn, but GOOD ENOUGH!
Now that this personal quest has been achieved, I'm ready to start learning how to use the bar and get ACTUALLY good at the game so I can stop feeling like a scrub who plays like a caveman!

Posting the doubles charts for all the new songs here because holy crap, I didn't think I'd be able to PFC all of them, but I did. Not all PFCs are actually in the video due to my camera battery running empty for one session, but you can still see my best scores. Also finally PFC'd another 14 in this batch, but IMO 妄想税 was much harder to PFC.
