Z-I-v Summer Contest 2015 [Back to school, kiddies, the contest is over.]

No file, sorry. It was going to be a medley of all the Karate Man songs in Rhythm Heaven, but I kinda lost motivation to actually finish it. Plus, the steps were getting nowhere and I couldn't make the cut transitioned smoothly. I thought that it'd be a really cool idea, but maybe next time. Well, 8 participations out of 12 is better than 8/13 last year... right?

I tried. I really had all intentions on making a boss song this week (It was gonna be the Cally & Juice remix of FaxX), but I didn't get to cut it until Saturday (AND THAT WAS AN EXPLETIVE THAT STARTS WITH A "B") and that's all I even had time for that day, so I had no time to really even step it. I just decided to go with a file that was pretty much almost done, but I wanted to still play off the theme and not just be any song. So I chose "Everybody", which was the last video they made, at least so I thought, until I did some research two minutes ago and found that they've come out with three songs & videos since then. Oh well, I'm not surprised. But this song is rather dynamic and explosive, so way to go out with a bang?

I've thoroughly enjoyed this particular year of the Summer Contest. Thanks to all who participated and gave me fun new and exciting files to play! Can't wait until next time!

Unrealated question:
is anyone planning on making full pack with videos hosted somewhere (like on MEGA)? I skipped some of weeks and I'm to lazy to download them

Also, would like to share whole package with some friends.

There is a "Download Pack" button in the top right corner on any pack. Not sure if the one for Summer Contest needs updating though, since it still says "2.6 months ago" next to it.

If it says "2.6 months ago" next to it, then yes it needs updating since it only contains whatever files were in the category 2.6 months ago (maybe the first week or two of the contest).

Not sure if all the videos would be included though, since a lot of them are tucked away in custom .zips.

Also, IMPORTANT.

Due to the fact that ZIv has less than 10 gigs of storage left, I advise that the next batch of simfile contests should be hosted somewhere else, unless Alan manages to expand the current storage somehow. We're running out of space, guys. D:

We could do a simfile purge, deleting any categories that aren't used anymore [users who don't visit the site anymore, categories forgotten (like mine lololol)].

Speak of the devil! Earlier I was talking to Pandy about purging sims, and he said this:

I know this is kinda unrelated to simfiles but do threads take up the storage space on the site? There are loads of threads that could be deleted.

We did that when we moved the site server a few years ago.

Like I said to xRGTMx, if push comes to shove I can get that last few years of SC files and put them into one download outside of the site.

Threads would not take that much room. The meat of the room being taken is likely from the simfiles.

You could probably do the same for Tournament of Immortals and Simfile Shuffle, too. They're not as big as Summer Contest but they're each a few hundred megabytes. Simfile Shuffle 2014 was close to 600 MB.

I can likely do that with TOI as well. I'm not the one in charge of Simfile Shuffle, so I can't say what will happen to it.
