Played some DDR X yesterday.

All of them were easy, but all of them were new too. I am going to clean up DDR X as much as possible every time I take a trip to Gameworks. Probably will be hitting up some SuperNOVA after work this week again. We'll see.

I've just been playing doubles again if it's not obvious. Not giving up on singles, just really into doubles now and there's not enough time in a session to do both well. Probably will go back to singles soon when the KAC qualifier is ready and the remaining boss songs are unlocked for regular play. I think I can PFC every evolved song and type with the exception of tohoku of course. I'm not sure about london evolved challenge though, still haven't seen the charts and heard they were really hard and the current records for all three types are under a AAA.

Well, I was in good spirits today since my daughter was born without too many complications and all so I rocked out on some of the double charts I didn't have before. Funny how the most straightforward one of the 2nd mix crossovers was the one labeled a level 14 song. The others were all harder than that. One of my songs was a WR, too, so I'm still in good spirits

That was a very good run because I noticed MOO-G.56 took my record on I Believe In Miracles Challenge Double by 1 perfect...so I took his by 8, because we are both bastards.






I believe you as well. I also got that on double sightread. The single chart took a billion and a half tries, though. Much like V Oni. I have no idea why the single chart took forever yet the double chart came immediately.

Ironicaly, I had more trouble AAAing it on standard (and the standard chart is ridiculously easy). Haven't checked the double standard chart yet, though.

The reference on the Make Me Cry score is basically saying if you played that song against me on an American DDR X, I would beat you on it. I always get a low perfect count on it, and although 15 doesn't seem that low, you have to remember American DDR X machines have lag and faulty pads involved with every score. To be honest quite a few people are shocked I have been even playing it for scores, but since SuperNOVA2 and everything lower has been almost completed, I have to make a switch and play the pile of crap that is DDR X.

Also very nice work Derek. Still shocked at how fast your cranking out the Doubles scores.

I played on a US DDR X 2 Machine once a month ago and I know what Kon Means, he's right. I also seen that girl DDR player (Lizzie?) have scores up north with a 992,XXX on Maxx Unlimited and a Max 300 Score of 998,XXX on a DDR X 2 with shitty timing and not the best pads. But I did manage to pass VD Challenge on it 2nd try ever and SDG Maxx Unlimited on it so IDK.

Kon, make a video of Legend Road on Machine. If you get less than 50 greats on it on video, I'll match it/get better on vid XD
I'll be checking your channel until it's done or I'll assume you don't take challenges.

If we keep trading off we might break 8000 like Mike.

Me and my friend's machine arrives in a week!!! I can't wait to clean the pads and AAA singles & doubles!

@Mr.eX - I actually have never passed Legend Road. I always fail the end of PSMO. When I pass it, there will be a video, but it won;t be a very good MA.

In other news: My machine is getting another LCD screen. So fucking sick of trying to put in another arcade monitor. I have wasted hundreds of dollars trying to get a arcade monitors or tube TV to work and I just can't take it anymore. At least I know if I go this route it will work. So hopefully more DDR EXTREME stuff comes from me soon.

About Legend Road, you should try practicing PSMO alone until you can virtually memorize the ending death run + slowdown (I assume that where you usually fail?).

The ending of PSMO is more like stamina if you ask me. Crossovers and turnovers drain a lot of it.

But when it comes to Legend Road, the main trouble is that you're stuck playing it on 1x vivid. Personally, I'd say that's even more difficult than the stamina.

EEEK! O.O I had that same concern about the monitor going bad in the future! Well, if you practice bracketing PSMO's ending it won't take very long, the tough part is getting to the 60 greats region.

My first pass was I think 114 Greats 6 non combos (I had to do PSMO with all the turns to pass it first), then it was in the 80's/70's three times after, then 68, then 56. I think I can break 50 on my next try.

Trust me, just record the screen and play it as if everyone in the DDR world was watching. One day you will get it with at least a 7700 and you will have tons of views.

This is one of the hardest 13s I've ever PFC'd. I'm SO glad I got it. I just wish I had less perfects though (but I could honestly careless).

This so much. What never fails to impress me is that records like Mike's were done on 1x vivid the whole way. I could get somewhere near that DP by playing the songs on X2 or X3, but on Extreme with 1x vivid? No way.

I would like to get 7900 in the near future next time I have a serious go on it, and eventually, I want to pass it on doubles.

I'll probably play later today and this weekend. I'm hoping to be over 90% after this weekend and hopefully 20 or less songs by the end of the month. It's at the crunch point now. Most of the new ones I get wont be very easier, with the exception of some that need to be done on Extreme.
