There are still upgrade kits, and they cost the same as they always have.
Just a small thing I found on Viverus Studio's MySpace page (they are the label SMiLE.dk is under atm).
Under the "video games" section they have:
Konami / Dance Dance Revolution X (ARCADE)
NAOKI feat. SMiLE.dk / N/A
So, I guess we have it straight from the horses mouth now :3. They haven't revealed the song title yet though >_<.
Edit: U-San has posted some differences that will be in the AC version on the DDR FROM STAFF blog. I will not be translating this whole thing, because this really covers it all.
Battle Mode
-If you play by yourself and lose to the computer, you will get a game over.
-The Extra Stages will be accessible through Battle Mode as well.
-This may not stay the same, pending on reaction.
Freeze Arrows
-Getting an N.G. on a freeze arrow will break your combo.
Extra Stage
-EXTRA STAGE can be accessed through "Random", like in SN2.
-The ENCORE EXTRA STAGE will not be accessible through "Random".

My eyes are twitching out of frustration over this one. I've had times where I would lose to the computer on the first round and still manage to win because of the two "2 out of 3" rule. Losing on the first round would just rob you of your credit and opportunity to win the set of rounds. -If you play by yourself and lose to the computer, you will get a game over.
They need to remove that. >:c

Only being allowed to play the ES songs to get to OMES is going to suck, but I guess it's one way to keep OMES special and from being overdone...I'm sure arcade operators will appreciate this.-EXTRA STAGE can be accessed through "Random", like in SN2.

Last one is different from DDRSN2.
So...
You need to get an AA or higher in the Extra Stage song to access the Encore Extra (no more random song)
And id the only method to ENCORE become really "Extra"

I'm glad random doesn't get EES. When EES is as easy to get as it was in SN2, it's just an awkward 5th stage, not the "OMG that person got the OMES" type stage should be.
Though really, since Extra Stage songs get unlocked over time and there aren't assigned ES/OMES songs anymore, they really could just get rid of the EES.

You're the one who's right there. Da Capo didn't manage to fit in DDR US CS SN. But I'm certain it's in DDR X.
