I thought that format died yrs ago, but guess like its now official. I wonder if I can pick one up for cheap.

Regarding CuzcotheBlocky, you may count him as annoying but at least he's not someone like wens, that guy even went to my facebook, left me a message saying that he doesn't care that he's banned since he has a life and we don't (or something to that effect) and declared that he has blocked me. I think I also sent him a message about trying to improve his behavior, which I stopped doing as some members are apparently more stubborn than lemmings.

So anyway, I now have a job. I didn't post here since I am distancing my IRL life to this username (partly inspired by someone who has a dash on his username, I hope I didn't paint a target on you!), like changing my facebook URL. I'll shut up now lest I paint a target on me as well.

imo prolly we'll stop using optical storage since they are kinda fragile and move on to something similar to a read-only flash disk... though right now optical storage are kinda easier/faster/cheaper to make.

I think I've read some where that scientists have successfuly stored computer information unto a strand of DNA. If this is going to be our future I definately don't want to be a part of it. Its like being in a horrible Sci-Fi Flick or something. *shudders* I'd rather keep computer stuff on a computer and not in my body TYVM. *shudders again*

BluRay has essentially already been replaced, it just doesn't know it yet. Online downloads, streaming, cloud storage is how media is being handled now.

I discovered something horrible yesterday. This place called Ben and Aris that's a putt putt golf course/arcade has DDRMAX2. I decided to make a quick visit yesterday and....IT WAS GONE!!! I was completely devastated! I looked everywhere to see if it moved somewhere else, but I couldn't find it. It was replaced by some new game that looked stupid. It had some other new games but still...WHY?! The last time I was there was about a year ago and it was in pretty good shape to me. The place has been around for a while but...god I'm so sad right now. There are no other DDR cabinets closeby to me other than in downtown (SN2). The only thing around me is ITG2 at the bowling alley nextdoor to it. I went there too to see if MAX2 might have transfered there. But it wasn't. Guess I better update the place on the arcade locator.

My area used to have at least 5 DDR machines. Hell, at one point, an arcade at a local mall had 5 machines themselves. But now it's down to one (non-unlocked) Extreme with iffy pads.

The closest DDR machine to me is about 3 hours away, and I never really got to have the full expeirience of it, because at the time I played, my legs were to short to hit anything. For all I know, they probably removed it. There was also one at a mall in Michigan that was running DDR EXTREME that I had the short legs issue with, and the next time I went to that location, it was gone. I think I am a machine curser.

heres a crazy idea/thought. If you have the fear that a near by DDR machine is going bye-bye, maybe consider talking to the arcade operator and see if he/she will let you take the machine. I can't see why not as most arcades out there are losing money/going out of business anyway, but like I said crazy idea/thought.

That's actually not a bad idea. Hopefully they'll give it away and not sell it. Where do these machines run off to anyway?

That really sucks. If IIDX cabinets weren't already rare enough.
The worst and only I have had so far was this one Extreme cabinet in a local movie theatre got sold off for this dumb motorcycle game. It event had perfectly functional pads.
