Side note:

Elemental creation feels a bit ITG+DDR to me.

The fast portions look incredibly reminiscent of ITG, the slow downs and general repetitive pattern (with some tricks built in of course) is very DDR.

I think that a few of the best points about DDR making these sort of rapid ITG-esque sequences is that it explores a type of skill that isn't seen too often in the most difficult songs with the exception of Horatio. Instead, they focus on something harder (such as difficult crossovers at that speed), but I feel that they missed the gap of just preping people trying to get to that level with steps like these.

And where they do exist, the song chart tends to not be very fun, with the obvious exception of Horatio (which I adore).

Great step chart. Would love to try. :3

They are definitely trying to up difficulty overall lately; we know Beautiful Dream has a 15 Challenge chart as well. But, since 13s are being MFC'd, they need to flesh out the 14+ area to give those players a bigger library to work on. Smile

Yes, this is great and true. But, my pointis more that there is basically simple steps (Max 300) at a fast pace, then there are just simple steps at a ridiculous pace with consitency (Facination Maxx, Eternal Love), and then there are semi-complicated steps at a ridiculous pace (Healing-D-VIsion, Paranoia Rev Heavy)

And there's just suddenly completely over the top difficult, complex steps with much intermediate levels (ALl the 19s)

Basically, there are two areas they need to flesh out. Easy step patterns with constant arrows at an incredible pace (Elemental creation, Horatio) and something between the official, hard 18s and the 19s.

I think that Possession Cha Doubles is the closest we get to an "inbetween" for these levels.
