Screenshot of an early build of EXTREME:

To clarify, this screenshot was from a texture bug on an early build of EXTREME, the interface was not supposed to look like that at any point

Maxx Unlimited and Kakumei were red on the early build?
Uses Max2 color?

Well, yeah. I'm assuming they just copied MAX2 and started building from there.

A little trivia for ya; Jena Rose made her official DDR debut under her real name, Rena Jones, as a guest performer on "Snake Charmer" from ULTRAMIX4.

Timepiece Phase II was listed DDR SN US CS's master songlist (whatever that is). Although there's no data on the disc or anything else that shows that it could have been on there at one point.
In the game code, DDR simplifies song titles by shortening them to a 5-digit string of text. For example, "Heavy Is A 67 Metallic Gray" is shortened to "heav". The Master Songlist is a text file that lists all of the strings used in the game.
Around the time DDRMAX USA came out, fans figured out how to extract the file from the game disc, and view it as plain text. The ZIV staff keep an updates version of the list here :
http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/ddrmasterlist.txt
It includes a lot of songs which were planned for each game, but never got included for whatever reason. Getting assigned a text string is presumably the very first thing that happens, so that it can be used to reference all of the song's assets, so in most cases, this is the only trace of the song ever left on the disc.
Since DDRMAX, we've seen a lot of the 'missing' songs mentioned in the Master List show up years later, so it's possible Konami just stockpile completed (or half completed) songs, and release them in a later game, when they think the time is right.
Thank goodness for linking that master list. I've been trying to find that list on this site for a while now

The "4 Arrow Plant" was doable because of the feet placement right? I could never read Solo Mode for the life of me. Post #1938 · Posted at 2014-06-26 02:52:59am 11.4 years ago

Correct. There was no slab of metal separating adjacent panels. All it required was for the player to step between the two panels. It's the earliest implementation of intentional bracketing on a dancing game from what I can gather.
(I don't follow PIU)

Not sure if this was already mentioned, but the reason why LITTLE BITCH's BG image has the phrase "TWO TONE" written on it is because Two Tone is the specific genre of the song. It is a type of ska music that originated in England around the late 70s.
