The Official DDR Accomplishments Thread (Read first post, NO STEPMANIA OR ITG)

Okay, with this day off, I got in some serious play time to unlock almost all of the 2nd mix charts in one setting. I PFCd some of them but I was getting pretty hungry and the arcade was filling up so it was getting harder to get a turn. I'm okay with what I got done in one day, though. With all the AAAs on Light and Standard as well as other random songs, I had over 50 PFCs today (even if many of them were easier ones from 2nd mix on light/standard to unlock the Expert/Challenge charts), so that's something to be happy about, especially since it has been a while since I got to play for any length of time.

EDIT> I Just realized even though X3's site lists Let's Get Down Challenge as being from 4th+'s chart, that is the same as the oni chart on Extreme I believe (the step counts match, for one). I looked through my list and those 2 will have to go but I think I missed counting some of my old Max1/Max2 AAAs w/photos so I'll check that and update this post later tonight

I'm very proud with these:

38 Perfects. I was actually very pleased with that considering all of the gimmicks and such.


I'm really surprised how well I did on this! I'm hoping to FC this soon. I'm also planning on doing Challenge mode too.


On another note, I'm still trying to FC Pluto on Challenge. I tried it yesterday and I was very close but I screwed up. I should be able to get that very soon.

Pluto Relinquish Expert (Never played it before) - 47 Greats FC
Took me 3 tries to understand the foot pattern,
3 more times before being able to combo it,
and 1 time to get it from the 60 great range to the 40's.

I WILL get it under 25 greats if I ever play it again.

I was happy with my MA, if I lived closer I'd actually try and Get
Maxx Unlimited under 25 Perfects; as it's my favorite song.

Really pleased with how much of Extreme I am knocking out.
About 68% complete with Extreme so far and I'm planning on getting it over 75% After this weekend. Also knocked out quite a few tricky ones already.

Did you ever get Ska a Go Go? I think other than the 10s which are on other mixes, that one in particular seems to be the most elusive

I have a quick one. I would have liked to finish off If You Were Here Challenge but I'll have to get that some other time. Same with a few others, actually. Also, Kung Fu Fighting Challenge on Double is still quite fun with all those wide stretches, but I don't quite have that yet. Anyways...

A DDR accomplishment is a Dance Dance Revolution accomplishment? That seems tautological.

Possession is a DDR song, and if DDR accomplishments were limited to those done "on a Dance Dance Revolution cabinet," home scores would be invalid.

Thus, what constitues a DDR accomplishment?

Any official song played on any official DanceDanceRevolution game.

Even if you're playing a DDR song on an ITG machine, it's an ITG accomplishment... or StepMania... depending on how you look at it.

Hmmm, this is a quandary. It's a perfect storm between the three dance game accomplishment threads.

It doesn't seem to belong in the DDR Accomplishments thread because it's not played on an official DDR game.

It doesn't seem to belong in the Stepmania Accomplishments thread because it is an official DDR song and chart, and played on pad to boot.

My opinion? The case can be made the strongest for it to remain here in this thread. It is an official DDR song and chart, and it was played on pad, not keyboard. I mean, seriously. POSSESSION? Can't we just acknowledge that it's still a crazy awesome accomplishment for someone and not nitpick that it wasn't played on an official arcade machine? I mean, the first post of this thread allows DDR MOBILE GAME accomplishments which is basically stepmania. Doesn't it seem a bit nitpicky to allow that and not something like this?

No, it's for all songs played on Stepmania.

All i'm saying is that if its a official DDR song, it goes here. If its a official ITG song, it goes to the ITG achievements. if it doesn't go with those 2 (not official) then it goes to stepmania.
