"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
I don't see anything that Konami has released other than announcing PES 2010 for Wii and the Castlevania movie.

"ugh..."
I hope we do see some change in the comic con for Konami... I don't mind waiting until it releases but I really do want to see gameplay on the PS3/360. Because I'm thinking about pre-ordering it at my local Gamestop. ]: Maybe see some more songs that shall be on there as well.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
Konami Report of Japan Expo

Nothing too interesting, but the video does confirm that, at least in Europe, the Wii game will be called "DanceDanceRevolution Hottest Party 3".

Probably because the excitable European team had already made a silly logo for it and didn't want to change it, they are so proud of it. They were trying to get a head start on the 12 month logo design process.

Like anyone in who only plays DDR on the Wii would notice if the name was changed.

Look at it this way, for once Europe will get a one number lead on a sub-series of DDR games instead of the other way around.

Let me guess, it's just like the Hottest Party 2 logo only with the 2 changed to a 3. And that took them a whole WEEK to do, right?

The only thing that really pisses me off about the name change for Europe is that Konami created unique releases for Europe under the name Dancing Stage for ages, and now they've finally decided to make the song lists and game title truly universal but STILL insist upon separating the European version somehow. I mean seriously, WHY would you waste time and resources to alter things about a game for a region when it's the same as what's being released elsewhere?

Konami it's simple, copy/paste the title and art, print PAL on the front, give it a PEGI rating and FUCKING RELEASE THE GAME ON TIME. It's not hard.

I really feel for those of us in the UK. It really blows that KONAMI feels the need to repeatedly screw you guys over.

This isn't 2005, this is no longer possible. Then again, it's quite sad that our arguably best mix (Max) still wasn't as good as the US version. It's like we have an unwritten licence to be treated like shit.

To be honest, if Andamiro release a European release of PIU (which ain't gonna happen, but...), I have no reason to buy another DDR.

We had a great history of european arcade releases, and a country full of jealous japanese DDR players, for about 7 years running. For all the times we've been dissapointed in terms of home releases, America have been utterly shafter in terms of arcade games. They only had one american DDR game until SuperNOVA, and it's arguably the worst DDR arcade game ever released.

I think the reason european CS releases suck so much is the staggered released schedule. Konami develop each game primarily for Japan, but when October/November comes around, the american office demands an american CS game, to cash-in on the american "holiday season". Konami usually take a half-finished build of the japanese game, replace the songs that aren't finished yet with american licenses, translate everything, and release it.

Around this time, the people responsible for european releases are probably working on translating and adapting the latest Winning Eleven game, because they want to get that out in time for the european holiday season.

The game is usually finished around November, but in order to cash in on the japanese holiday season (April), they need to hold the japanese release off, until at least February.. After that, the European release gets some attention paid to it :{

I think it's a combination of a pushy KoA office, and the fact that every game seems old and unsatisfying, by the time the european version comes out, and we're playing it for a 3rd time.

Also, the shift from PS2 to Wii as the primary format for DDR games has really screwed things up. Now they have 3 games to deal with, and they seem to pay equal attention to all of them.

So, according to those new screen's file names, the PS2 board game mode will be called "Dice Master Mode".

Just to clarify, is DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY 3 is the same as the simultaneous release of DDR on the major platforms, or it's its own game?

The HP3 logo looks alright, except they used the same font for the number as in the HP2 logo.

Wonder what they will call it in Japan?
