August 19th is when gamescom starts, but who knows if anybody who will record songlist information/videos will be going to that.
I guess we can hold out hope that they will display something tomorrow, but otherwise meh.
Damn...and we have 3.1 months to go before the game ships out I guess we can hold out hope that they will display something tomorrow, but otherwise meh.

*sigh* oh well, best hope something pops up during tomorrow - Saturday.
@UG: Wow, must be small then...

I don't know of any other major conventions between now and New York Anime Festival (25-27 September), so I'm hoping there'd be some sort of announcement then. Which I'll be attending as I'm also covering the event.Post #1905 · Posted at 2009-07-24 10:47:42am 16 years ago

Man i gotta say it i'm jealous....
No major convention happens where Konami just suddenly happens to pop up in the Tampa Bay area (i don't know about Florida >_>)
*sigh* oh well...at least i'm the dumb one who pre-orders the game and lists out a preliminary song list/videos of the charts and stuff =P

There's a German game convention during which KONAMI historically shows off the latest DDR in Europe. This happens sometime in late August, as I recall, though I may be wrong on that.

German DDR fan Schmichael (apologies for the spelling!) has been our info source for the past few years here, let's hope he's set to attend this year as well.

And, yes, I do know about SN2 US's songlist being unveiled at the Leipzig convention via SN2 EU. However, I doubt a similar scenario would happen.

Err, unveil what? The games have already been unveiled.
The SuperNOVA2 song list leak was unintended by KONAMI, actually. Another slip-up in the rather disastrous release of SuperNOVA2. It will just give us a look at the game; since the Wii one was announced for Europe, there's a chance we'll see more of that one. Although it could also easily be the E3 demo again.

Considering that at the time of the Germany convention, the release will only be two months away, I sincerely hope that they show a playable version of the PS3/360 games.

I'm hoping Konami comes back to PAX, which is at the beginning of September. The one year they did come, they had 4 Supernova cabinets littered about the expo on freeplay.
I know Harmonix and Activision have big presences at PAX with GH and RB, so it would be a missed opportunity for Konami to not show DDR there.

You're assuming Konami cares about DDR like Activision cares about Guitar Hero and Harmonix cares about Rock Band. As far as Konami is concerned with the death of ITG and the continued obscurity of Pump It Up they own the monopoly on dancing games and will only do as much as they have to to keep the series profitable and the fans from completely rebelling... and that's in Japan, where they give off the impression that they care.

Uhm, it's not like Konami is one person ya know. I'm sure there's quite a few people in the company who don't care about the games, but I'm certain there's atleast some handful of people that DO care about the games. Just realize we're expecting them to instantly fix a problem that's over 5000 miles away in an 8+ hour time difference. Konami IS a business and they will not intentionally do things to cause their products to fail. Arcades are burned by this release of DDR X and if Konami doesn't do something about it, they'll notice the burn in their sales. If Konami really didn't care, they would have left Supernova alone when it came out way off sync. Konami wouldn't have even attempted at bringing e-Amuse and USB/SD slots over here. I'm not trying to defend the shoddy release, but there's a lot of middle people between the developers of DDRX and your feet hitting the arrows. If any of those people screw it up, then it just turns into a snowball.

Sadly, those handful of people are completely drowned out by the rest.Post #1916 · Posted at 2009-07-24 06:36:34pm 16 years ago

I was gonna say that! (Though it varies between not caring about Europe and not caring about just the UK. Though be honest, would you REALLY have bought DDR Winx Club?)

The funny thing about Winx Club was the crossovers. Almost all of the bemani crossovers on that game (given decent charts) would've been absolute sex, i mean, really. High School Love? CODENAME: APRIL? I'm Screaming Love? I want THOSE on my next DDR game!Post #1919 · Posted at 2009-07-25 02:25:38am 16 years ago

Strangely, IGN has been posting a story called "SDCC 2009: DanceDanceRevolution (Wii) Screens". But when you actually click on the link, you can see that they are just the six screens released nearly two months ago. But look at the "date added" label...it says July 23rd, 2009. Very weird, especially since I believe that IGN had already added those screenshots during E3.

Oh, that IS weird. Hmm, I wonder if the booth might change themes on Saturday. You see, back during the year when Extreme 1 came out, they didn't have the DDR set up until Saturday. But this one is kind of hard to call especially considering that they don't have any game stations set up at all. But they could borrow one from their sister/subsidary/whatever Hudson right next door... Anyway, it looks like I'll be there tomorrow for a little while at least, I'll definitely swing by the booth to see if anything's changed. The booth was still the same today and like a big ninny I forgot to ask. lol Whoops! lol
Let's see what happens!
EDIT - Pie, are there any other comic con screen sets from Konami? I'm too lazy to look~ lol
