I'm pretty sure it had something to do with BeForU signing with Avex.

That's a long held myth, BeForU songs remained in BEMANI while they were signed with Avex. It wasn't until the third generation was formed and they signed with Gambit that songs began being removed.

BeForU is now dead. The new group released one album and was never heard from again and even their official site has been taken down. This may explain why there have been some sudden BeForU revivals in recent BEMANI games (DDR X2 location tests had Love Sugar revived, Resort Anthem location tests have Under the Sky revived, and GFDM XG has had Himawari, shining, and BREAK DOWN revived)

BeForU can continue, but in USA version, because USA don't have two song which is released in JP version (DDR SUPERNOVA) performed by BeForU, "Chikara" and "HImawari".

you do know that we are talking about the band not if the song will continue in the next game =.=;
plus Himawari is already in the Xbox/360 versions....but it would be nice to play them on a PS2/3..

Himawari was in DDR Ultramix 3, but I'm pretty sure Chikara hasn't been in any US version. Pie's probably right about the revivals though.

Wait, I'm confused. Is If You Were Here going to be the same version as in 2nd Mix? Or will it be an X-edit (similar to Butterfly, Hero, Dub-I-Dub, etc)?

I hope it's an X-edit because then it will show that they're still into it.

It is a different cut from the original 2nd mix version, but does not have an (X-edit) subtitle.

Silly subtitles or not, I'm just glad they're continuing to refresh the classic catalogue.
