Went to some small arcade today, managed a good amount of AAAs, but that's not the point.
While I was there, some teenage kid watched me doing some easy warm-up songs (7-9s X-scale) and decided it would be a great idea to try and pick a fight over who was a better player (seriously, why do people do this ¬_¬). So he comes up and starts boasting about how he can do 13s and 14s (x-scale) and wanted to show me up. There was a crowd in the area, so of course they want to see us do it. He picked 3 songs (HVAM, Paranoia Survivor, Max 300 SMMM challenge(btw, if you can only pass 13s-14s, why are you picking this song list?)) and decided to try and be cool by taking off his shirt and wear a lame-ass headband that made him look even more like a kid. He got a AA, B, and C on HVAM, PS, and Max 300 SMMM respectively. Not bad, but I got a black flag on HVAM, a AAA on PS, and a 5 great FC on SMMM. Instead of being a good sport and just accepting that he lost, he decides that I made him think I was a scrub on purpose to make him look bad, which backfired because even the crowd supporting him like 5 minutes ago was laughing at his response.
This is why I hate arcades; there's always some kid trying to act cool and pretend he's the best when really he's just good, if not average.
