3. Not sure if it has been mentioned already, but since this will be on 360 and PS3, would there be a chance of the game getting trophies/achievements?

It has to have achievements. Every 360 game does, even the classic releases. For the trophies on PS3, I am not sure because I don't know much about the system.

For 2: It'll be much easier for me (and my wallet) because CoD Modern Warfare 2 would be released on 11/09/09.

For 3: To clarify what KKiONI said, ALL Xbox 360 games were required to have achievements since launch (11/2005). So DDR '09 will get achievements. As for PS3 trophies, it's up to Konami and/or Sony, but it is likely, especially in light of recent releases.

Same for IGN, so they're useless right now. Buy.com should be okay for a relevant reference.


Yes, it's required. DDR/DS Universe 1, 2 and 3 have achievements.

It'll be simple things like "Unlocked Bongo!" or "Scored more than 800,000 points on Heavy".

Ah ok, not to worried about 360 because i have learned that ALL games have achievements on that console...

...i am just wondering more on the Playstation side of the subject .

oh, and i am not getting MW2, my older brother might be getting that game, i guess i forgot to mention that those two games are going to be the only two games I will buy, not my older brother or his g/f or whoever is getting it.

And i only think he will get the normal version, NO WAY he is going to get the "Prestige" Edition unless he gets some huge bonus from his job or something...

...owning a pair of night vision goggles wouldn't hurt, right?

I'll be getting the Hardened Edition, which is the Prestige Edition minus the Night Vision Goggles. That plus the DDR '09 bundle will set me back a combined $175. damn NYC sales tax Note that this is assuming the DDR '09 bundle is $80.

Just checked Gamestop and they have their's set as 69.99, but i have no idea if this is for the game-only or bundle.

My guess is that the PS3 is gonna get the same requirements for the achievements/trophies as the 360.

EDIT: Not only that, but they'll have the same ones and everything the same because Konami is lazy like that.

Probably the bundle, because the Universe bundles were, IIRC, about $70.

I'm more than sure that they'll have trophies with the PS3 DDR... It makes sense to have them. Gives you something to aim for. That's how I look at it. ^^

I read somewhere that Sony PS3 also requires games to have trophies after the trophy system was created. But I'm not sure. I'm hoping i get a PS3 for this game because i don't like my Xbox 360 (It's the arcade version, which sucks).

I actually like that option myself too... I love the BG's. I'm not a big fan up these stages that they dance on. IMO.
