I really, really doubt that. NAOKI has explicitly stated that he does not work directly on the arcade games and his main focus seems to be this mystic "new music game" he's been talking about.

In any event, arcade releases are often delayed for a variety of reasons, although usually having to due with some kind of bug in the game. SN2 was delayed ~2-3 weeks from its original release date, for example.

I wonder if Konami still want to released X2 Japan on PS2.

PS2 is almost (or maybe has ) died.

One arcade is saying the new release date is the 2nd or 3rd week in July.

I really like those steps actually, X2 so far is looking very good step wise. The ones I didn't like have apparently changed, and what I know so far gives me high hopes for the rest of the game.
