Someone probably said this at some point, but I just realized that the DDRII song reveal uses the same BG as the DDR X3 vs 2nd Mix logo. Perhaps the two games will have the same interface?

IIRC, the X3 interface was close to the X2 interface only blue. The DDR II interface reminds me more of a Wii game. Which it is.

Not that that's bad. It works for the game, but it just probably isn't going to be an X3 interface given what we know already.

@KKiONI: Not to be partly stupid but, I think you may own a 360 (if having an Xbox icon = owns a 360). Did you buy DDR Universe 3?
Nah I decided to skip out on it. Although I was thinking of getting it at one point, but I later concluded that it didn't have enough songs I would play frequently. That and the the thought of having to always move the system to my basement to play didn't appeal to meTongue

What intro video are you referring to...?
*lost the links to all the videos besides the E3 trailer anyway*

They do. In fact, if someone can provide me a link to the hidden video footage from the loc test of Haunted Rhapsody on X3 vs. 2ndMIX with the "doors" and "music selection" screen you can see that DDR II almost literally is the exact copy of X3 vs. 2ndMIX's music selection interface.

This image is on Bemanistyle, and while it doesn't give a huge picture of the screen/interface, what I can distinguish from it is that the theme is actually closer to the X2 interface than what we've seen of DDR II. I don't have the link to the Haunted Rhapsody footage, though. This is the best I could do.

"We also see on our Facebook page that people in the States play a lot of the arcade versions of DDR."

It only took them what, like 12 years to notice?!

Konami is always LATE to the party. They realized after Guitar Hero that people DO enjoy playing out with plastic guitars, they realized after Just Dance that full body dancing was a hit with people, and now they realize that most DDR fans have always preferred songs from the arcade to the home version ones.

(video)

Sssso the video with Emi, Yuni, Disco, and Ruby in it (think it's in that order; not used to long-haired Ruby).
Unless I really don't recognize the near-clones... there aren't any HP characters in there.

I see what you are talking about with the doors. I think it's a nice touch.

Did anyone else notice the message displayed over the arrows on player one's side at 46 seconds? It warns the player that they are pressing the A or B button. Is there a reason why it has to notify them?

Yes, to warn the player that their feet are too far forward.

I can't believe I didn't think of thatOops I was thinking it was being pressed on the remote for some reason. That's a pretty handy feature because I know my feet tend to slip around the pad. Although my feet usually tend to slip back in most cases.

DDR X3-like interface or not, I'm really excited for this game! I really like the fact there is a lot of X2 content being included, but I wouldn't mind some old revivals and some more new content~

I don't want this game to have an X3 interface, this is the closest to X2 CS we'll get, I want it to look like X2 if it looks like anything. Then when X3 comes out, THEN they can release an X3-looking game for consoles.

I can't find an image of him for the life of me but one of those shadows looks like the squat Jamaican guy from one of the HOTTEST PARTYs. I might be wrong though. Also, when you say Disco do you mean Disco Disco or his rainbow-fro'd doppelganger from the first HOTTEST PARTY? Cool

His fro actually has detail, so I think it's the real dance king.
Main is Emi, blue is Yuni, green is Disco, purple is Ruby... the only one I can't identify is the yellow one, but I kinda wanna just say it's Rage and his big jacket looking like a skirt. xP

Still waiting on Zero and Alice. You cannot have a game being -this- close to DDR X2 and forget characters. D:

... unless it's Jenny; how many people are gonna miss that... whatever that outfit was supposed to be? Tongue

I mean, I guess you could, but it'd be like having that awesome cake metaphor baked with love and RDA but the icing is put on all lazy like.

It's horrible for me because my feet are where they are supposed to be, but they are big feet, so they hit the A & B practically all the time.

One of the songs in Musicfit had a Solo chart, which obviously uses the A+B buttons for panels 7 and 9.

Dude, what about Gus or Julio? D8 They could at least include the better X2 characters, since Yuni's already there.

It would be good. I don't want to play 3 songs and then get a character. Smile
