I'm confident I'll get a few PFC this summer but our local X2 really costs a lot, ~2€ per credit for 2 songs + ES. At least it is working fine...

That's the most expensive cab around here, the arcade is in a place open only 3 months/year so the owner wants to make the most money possible. They'll change it back to 2€/3 songs next year (still expensive but that's the standard price in France).

Also from the tournament, only 2 people got an AA on the qualifiers (Fascination MAXX Challenge Double) though the top 10 all at least got an A

Takaske still ended up winning though. In the best-of-3 match he crushed RYU on Valkyrie Dimension Challenge Double (921k vs 840k) and that Possession Challenge Double vid was the final blow

Nothing much on my end. I plan on stopping by work tomorrow to play some rounds and finish up most of SuperNOVA. Lots of arcade repairs have been getting in my way, like this one...

I replaced the lcd monitor in my DDR machine with a arcade monitor. I was told it was working perfect when I bought it... obviously not. It made a pretty humorous and easy song hard to AAA though.

Might play SuperNOVA2 next week too. It really depends how much money I have left over from arcade repairs.

He's amazing. I mean It's quite awesome that we get to see the full chart of DOUBLES first on Tohoku EVOLVED(all done by TAKASKE) than on Singles in which many Japanese players can attempt and pass like BROSONI., RIN-GO!, P-MIZHA-4, POPORO and others.

If you look at that channel, recently there was a video uploaded of him passing Pluto Relinquish Double. He barely passed it with a B (after failing it once, also with what would have been a B). It's the first PR CDP pass I've ever seen on video. That chart should be a 19 along with Possession Double.

We think it just needs a cap kit. It has been repaired once before, but the caps look like they have the factory markings still on them. If a cap kit fails I don't have many options, but a scart TV is one of them.

That's going to be hard considering hes from the states. NTSC units did not SCART connectors.

If you can find one, you will get a really nice crisp image.

I could be wrong but I reckon a cap kit would only help if the image geometry is distorted (which it isn't).

Personally I'd only replace the caps if they bulge out at the top or start leaking electrolyte onto the circuit board.

Kon, isn't this just a case of the red gun in the tube no longer working? Replacing caps wouldn't fix that. I played on an arcade that had a screen that looked like that once, I selected AM-3P and had a good chuckle at the banner.

Oh screw me, i wanted to do a REALLY big post for my 1000th message but before i would have to update my old scores and... well fuck it xD

Also, i have so many things to say ahah.

First of all, like a bunch of you knows, i kind of stopped playing ddr (closer cab is 150km away and it's a DDRX2 with drift). But when i can, not often, i play a few songs (most of them are my nex edits that i test. I need to try some others from Daiz/Silver/ect because i saw some good stuff).

In a second time, i want to congratulate players that keep posting scores. I saw some amazing stuff (yes, i didn't posted in a while but i still check some part of the forum or the chat).
Silver, i remember when you barely had 100AAA (or much less), now, you roll on them like PFC a song is shit xD

That sucks for the price, god damnit wtf.
But imo NO, that's not standard prices at all. Maybe for big city i don't know. There is a bunch of place that i play/played and price was 1€/3songs or it used coins and it costed less than 1€ for a credit (like 24 coins for 20€). Best place was the first place i played :
- 1euro : 1 credit
- 2 euros: 3 credits
- 4 euros : 7 credits
back then it was Fusion then SuperNova. The pad were awfull but since i started playing on this cab, that was the best thing for me.

Since it's the ddr accomplisment thread, i'll post 2 of them :
- First try/pass on AntiMatter with 840k score. Damn this shit is fun but the pads i play on goes shit (and also, i can do triplet at 200bpm but not stream :/ so ofc, i do terribad at the end).

- This video (a double match that i did 10 months ago, uploaded the 2 first videos 9 months ago then... lol)

Also, i spent a lot of time for the 10-15sec at the end but the result is meh because my graphic skills are none

By the way I cleared your True Love (TRUELOL) edit, I got a terrible score but it wasn't too hard (thanks to X2's lifebar).
I also cleared Lesson 4E from LSP (CANDY★ with 192bpm streams) and got the shittiest score ever (450000 and more than 500 greats, that was hilarious really)

As for arcade prices, at LTDN prices are 2€/token but you can usually get 15 for 20€.

No a cap kit would fix most of the problems. I am also going to be testing the transistors, diodes and other parts of the chassis to make sure everything is working the way it should be. U5000 monitors are very well known for being plagued with problems similar to this, and I cap kit is a great start when working towards resolving the issues.

I finally pass Max 300 in the arcades (it was only a B but that's awesome for me)
