They're joke songs that have stories from honestly years back (I'm thinking 2003?). Tsugaru Standard is probably the best known, but I always liked MONGO MONGO more.

I feel old.

If they do, I really hope they add ones that were popular and can appeal to the casual crowd too.
Personally, i think that certain revivals have a very good chance of getting into DDRII. After all, it's a Wii game which means that Konami's probably going to try to net some new, casual players in--but, as we've seen, they're also pandering to veterans. It's not like there aren't revivals that play to both groups; some SuperNOVA revivals come to mind, such as Xepher and DoLL, which have always been popular with both ends of the spectrum. Not only that, but certain older songs like A and newer songs like smooooooch oAo might have a good chance of getting in (the latter even more so because, well, this is the de facto X2 port.)

But I agree--while X2 stuff is really very nice and good, I'd still like to see some X3 stuff, and 2nd Remix revivals. Haunted Rhapsody sounds great (best out of Reveal 1, IMO), and I'd love to see what other X3 things that Konami's willing to release for us before the release proper of the AC port in December.

Am I the only one who wants more X3 reveals?

Granted I'm a little tired of X2 at this point...

You know what I wanted more X3 songs too, but I also really wanted to dance to alot of these songs, and since DDR X2 isn't even near me, I'm kind of glad that we got majority of the songs from X2. I think this is how its going to be now, next years ddr game we'll get the X3 songs we didn't get yet, plus half of the new songs on the next new arcade.

20 14? (Tsugaru Standard, Dr. MaxX, MONGO MONGO)

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but what are these? I've heard something about TsugaruStandard mentioned on the site before, but I don't know what.

It's just someone's bad attempt at trolling. Nothing special.

The X3 reveals were from Tab 1 pretty much. Those and the KOs from last years mix.

Actually I wouldn't mind it being like this for future games. From this you get two types of hype: being able to play songs you were eagerly waiting for from the last mix (if you're one like me and has no access to an X2 cabinet) and getting a preview of some songs from the next.
I'm really eager to finally play some of those X2 songs like CG Project and Decade (amongst a few of my favourites) and the Universe 3 imports too. I'm also curious to see how the rest of Tell Me What To Do and the Heartbreak remix will sound like.

@KKiONI: Not to be partly stupid but, I think you may own a 360 (if having an Xbox icon = owns a 360). Did you buy DDR Universe 3?

I'm probably the one that is the most worried. 8D; I don't care much for the X2 characters, but I will take those feelings back if X2 and HP characters are sharing the stage. It would be awesome if they did.

I did a bunch of original research.

All three songs are known fakes.

Backstory:

Tsugaru Standard started as a joke on GameFAQs about "Tsugaru on standard being the hardest song EVER",
similar to End of the Century.
Alternatively, http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewsimfile.php?simfileid=8724

Dr. MaxX was apparently a (fake) promotional effort for Dr. Pepper (!?)

MONGO MONGO is just a random made up location test song.
(Sort of like how PARANOiA ~SKY~, which was a fake location test song for BeatmaniaIIDX 12 ~Happy Sky~, is actually a boss battle theme from NEO CONTRA that happens to use A LOT of PARANOiA samples)

I also remember MaxX to the XXXimum being a fake "rejected" boss song.

"Little Susie dang sweet fell on a cactus, she did, whoooooie!"

'MaxxThe XXXium' was a random name someone made up for the DDR Extreme Extra Stage song, because they didn't know the name of it at the first location test. I think people later made shitty remixes Legend Of Max, to try and convey what they thought this legendary song might actually have sounded like :{

The same kind of wonderful reporting that convinced people that the PIU Exceed location test had some ridiculous 10-footer called "Krosh" that had the most impossible stepchart of all time, and was never seen again after the test. Some guy just couldn't read the banner for Dignity, and thought "Crash" was the name of the song.

I think this has been there for a while but on Konami's site I found this little gem.

"Advanced DDR fans are sure to enjoy the extreme, high difficulty levels implemented in our advanced music tracks."

This either means just a lot of hard songs or Challenge difficulty, and I really hope it's the latter.

Well, in WII scale, this current song list already includes "extreme, high difficulty levels in advanced music tracks" even with only Heavys

Yeah, we need new songs with Challenge charts so that at least some of the difficulty in this game is fresh and not stuff we're already expecting.

Considering the Rena appeared in DDR X2 (AC) it might be sad to say that the only Wii DDR character we could get is Rena in her DDR X2 outfit, it be nice to have both X2 and Wii characters in the same game...Considering that it'll increase the character count and we would have something for the hardcore "arcade" DDR fans and the casual/hardcore "Wii" DDR fans Smile
