The Official DDR Accomplishments Thread (Read first post, NO STEPMANIA OR ITG)

There was a big blow up over legitimacy over the majority of the AAA's on that machine. Because the owner did not have a Extreme (System 573) until just before he got rid of the machine. I'm not going to further bring this up because its already split the UK community up already, just take what I've said with a pinch of salt.

I got my second arcade AAA/PFC today!

I don't want the debate to go even further than it already is, but it seems to me that there is a reason why I don't know anyone who PFCed it in the first place. Besides, last time I checked, the record on X3 is 998,070, so it is either a) a PFC with 193 perfects, or b) something close to the PFC with one great. I think the latter is more likely; I doubt anyone has AAAed the song on Extreme or Supernova either.

Back on topic, I decided to play (mostly) singles today and got 6 new PFCs today (7 if you count a redo), the most I have ever gotten in one day so far. Most of them are also on my first try on the X3 machines.

Why is everyone not trying to sort out this discrepancy? Has Extreme doubles been AAA or not? It's a simple question that has an answer whether we can agree on that answer or not.

Do we need to start a separate thread to discuss this? If so, I will.

Here are the two some what unresolved discrepancies.

1. PSMO doubles AAAed by K-Dogg (maybe other ones)
2. All of Extreme doubles AAAed by JBoy

Both of these have an answer. What we can do is speculate and bring forth arguments for or against the claim.

I'll reserve judgment in light of the arguments.

Right now I'm leaning more towards 1 being true and 2 undecided since I've seen seen one picture of his AAA's on doubles.

I think the answer of those questions doesn't matter at all. If you want to finish off Extreme on doubles, just do it man.

Hi Dr.D!

Never visited the forums here before, so this is the first post I'm making as a response.

Kyle is a good friend of mine, and in terms of it being 'unresolved' I don't think you're going to find much more proof than what was done at the time.

A video was uploaded after Kyle AAAd it back in 2010 (I think 2010), in the video, it clearly shows the settings of DDR Extreme arcade version, proves that there is no computer on the machine, and that several Stepmania related differences do not exist, that being that pad lights work and the likes.

I don't think there are any discrepancies whatsoever, but to my knowledge, I really don't think he had all of doubles AAAd.

Like I said, that PSMO doubles looks legit to me. I know at the very least k-dogg is capable. I just wonder why people don't take that at face value. I just want to see good points why it wouldn't be legit. All I've seen so far is that it might of been brewares Extreme simulation in there which doesn't check out considering all the lights were working.

Also Brittany, thats amazing! Are you sure your ready for Maxx? That's a big jump from 300 if you ask me.

Also Carlitos, it wouldn't matter if I was trying to do it myself or not, I'd still be curious about it. I just never feel comfortable when it seems like people are avoiding discussions or discourse. There is no reason we can't have a conversation about it.

As for me, since I'm in America now I only have access to a SN1 cab. The machine is ok but I can't do anything on it. I forgot how hard SN1 was to time, especially trying it on doubles. I get so many random greats, it doesn't help that there's a huge glare on the screen everyday.

I think I got 3 or 4 new PFCs so far. I'll double check. Too bad no Extreme.

And thank you for that. I am ready for Maxx Unlimited, just a couple of areas my feet don't seem to be compatible with. I have black flagged it twice now. I've been sub 5g since 2009, just stopped playing for a while. I'm back though.

I post a lot of my scores on my tumblr, here! All CS scores though.. as a member of England with nothing but a battered and bruised EuroMIX within like 100 miles it's my only way to play unfortunately!

Reposting it to YouTube would resolve this issue for all. If lights are present on that machine it would definitely suffice as Kris has never had lights working on that machine.

I don't disbelieve that Kyle was once capable of AAA'ing it on doubles, however. Most AAA's were not legit. This is factual information.

Which ones you might add? I don't know because I stopped caring many years ago when it tore the community.

Question: Usually when someone talks about "AAAing an entire mix", they mean AAAing all the songs that were newly introduced in that mix. How come then "AAAing Extreme" usually is said to include all songs on Extreme AC (such as MAX 300, Maxx Unlimited, etc.), and not just the songs newly introduced on Extreme?

Example: "AAAing SN2" would include Pluto Relinquish, Paranoia Hades, etc. It would not include Faxx, Felm, etc. even though they exist on SN2 because there were not introduced in SN2.
Yet "AAAing Extreme" includes not only PSM and TLOM, but also Max 300, Maxx Unlimited, etc. even though the last two were not introduced in Extreme.

Also I've never heard anyone talk about "AAAing DDRMAX2" or whatever. It's always been only Extreme, SN1/2, and X1/2/3.

Can someone clarify this?

As far as I know, people like me talk about all the songs available on that mix. And yes, at one point I said I AAAed DDR Max.

As for what you were saying about songs that appeared on the mix. If I were to only get the ones on extreme, I would say I AAAed Extreme exclusives. I know lots of people try to AAA Max 1 or Max 2 Exclusives. And thats what it mean.

Does that make more sense?

As for anything higher than extreme, Sn1 and on, I don't know anyone that can can they AAAed said mix due to the challenge charts of some boss songs. Though some people might claim that they got all playable song, ie. non extra stage songs.

. . . though my rank is still only in the 20s in the Internet Ranking (same for all doubles courses). For my 1st IR, I guess that's not bad.

Right, so over the weekend I was at an anime/gaming convention, there was a SuperNOVA 2 machine there on free play, so I tried my best to get a few good scores, try some new songs, improve stamina, PA, and get a bit better at double.

I managed to get 3 new AAs:
- CAN'T STOP FALLIN' IN LOVE (super euro version)
- Let the beat hit em! (CLASSIC R&B STYLE)
- Freeway Shuffle

Simple enough songs, fun to play, but my PA is getting better (I bumped my Dynamite Rave AIR SPECIAL AA up to a non-PFC AAA with 4 greats).

Although I'm happier about this: I passed four new 15-footers! Four!
- Unreal (Too many jumps in streams...)
- PARANOiA ~Hades~ (Dammit they made a mistake rating this an 8 in SN2)
- NGO (I actually kinda like this one. I probably wouldn't if I cared about PA on this song, but going for a pass can be fun if you get past the fact that it has fairly tough 274BPM crossovers in the deathrun)
- MAXX UNLIMITED (I haven't actually played this much, It's tricky but fun)

Got pretty close to passing The legend of MAX too, failed somewhere in the last 20 seconds.
Would you believe I still haven't got anywhere close to passing MAX 300 yet?
