Well I agree on getting back to discuss X2, but provided the few information we had in the last weeks, there's nothing to talk about... So Bach seems more interesting as of now! =P

Can anyone confirm the stops added in Smoooch? Can anyone say anything about the stepchart change in Second Heaven? Was it completely scrapped to some bland and boring chart, or were the steps replaced to make it playable?

1. Yes, the stops were added during the later location tests (the one held just before the AOU Show version was shown).

2. Second Heaven went from a 14->11, so there was most likely a difficulty drop off. Still, an 11 is a solid 8 on the old scale and if made correctly will be a lot more fun than the garbage 14 chart.

Meh, this smells the "Freeway Shuffle effect".
I mean, an obvious great 15feet (X-scale) but we will have a "nothing special" 10' instead.

I love Second Heaven. Played an edit on itg2 once, a low 11'. Really great chart, good rythm and funny.
I'm sure i'll cry when i'll saw the X2 chart

Also, you're right. I would prefer a good 11 than a crappy 14. But again, why not make a kick ass 15 instead ? >.>

Well, not all songs need to be 15 or more, I guess it'll be alright being an 11. I hope that Mei will be at least a 13 though, if it is less than that, I'll be extremely disppointed...

Also, am I the only one surprised by the high difficulty of the songs on the loc test? There are more 14 and 13 on the test than in a whole DDR X machine!

Freeway Shuffle has an incredibly fun chart on both heavy and oni. Also, like zodiak said, there are already plenty of 12-14s on just the location test alone. Look at FIRE FIRE's chart. Sure, they COULD have made it a 16 or higher, but they ended up making a really unique and fun 14 chart instead.

Considering we haven't seen Second Heaven's new chart yet, let's just wait and hold our judgment.

I personally wouldn't call Fire Fire's chart unique; watered-down but still fun is about what I'd say. It's probably going to be the new Sakura Heavy (in terms of who will play it the most) if that makes sense. If there were 24ths and 32nds allowed in DDR edits I'd definitely make a 17-18 for Fire Fire, and maybe a 14-15 for Second Heaven.

Just out of curiosity, what was the 14 for Second Heaven like exactly? I hear it was BS, but what made it BS? Just a lot of stupid rhythms that didn't go to the music or bad/boring doublestepping or what?

It had good rhythm but bad step placement.

does anyone knows if the old cabinets supports wide screen? just wondering because maybe Konami using ddr x2 us cs theme to work for the old cabinets..

I'm sure the game will just be adopted to both 4:3 and 16:9. It'll just cut off part of the screen on the left/right, like it did in X AC.
