And following from there, this is something I made for a Computer Graphics class at college. The homework was to make a game interface, and...

(I had some trouble making the arrows, but all in all, it was so fun to make this)

I made graphics for Portal and I am pleased with the results.

Unnecessarily long Story time!!
Last year during the Summer Contest, it was [Other Music Games] week, and I tried to find some good songs to step. When I saw that this was going to be the theme, I immediately turned to Rhythm Heaven (DS) to find a song. The first song I decided to step was Struck by the Rain (I would link it, but that was a terrible file, so I'd rather not P: ). Once I finished stepping that, I thought of stepping Remix 8. I started the chart, but I thought it was really bad, along with it's graphics, so I ended up never submitting it.

Fast forward to last night.

I was looking through my Summer Contest 2012 folder and remembered that I had stepped Remix 8. I played it and thought to myself, "Jesus Christ, what was I on when I stepped this?" The chart was so bad, I had to go into the editor and fix the :hea: chart. By the end of it, I was actually really happy with it and decided to fix up the rest of the charts so I could release it.

I was about to upload it to my category when I realized how shitty the graphics were. Before this whole re-step thing happened, I was wondering what I could do to get out of my graphic-funk. I hadn't made any cool graphics in a while, and I wanted to find a song I could make graphics for. Thus, I decided to re-make the graphics for Remix 8 completely.

Today, I spent about 4 hours getting them to be just perfect and the way I wanted them to be. When I was finished, I was incredibly happy with the results.

So without further ado, the new graphics (with before and after comparisons!)

All of these were completely made from vectors. It was so damn hard to get to the final products, but it was definitely worth it. :)

the newer graphics look cleaner. i like them.

Definitely love the newer ones better. But I love the 3D look of the text in general. And black4ever, I'm loving the Portal graphics, nice work.

Not much experience, really? Because those look amazing! If I had to pick a favorite, I'd pick the one with the eels.

I'm really impressed, crystal. So far from what you've shown, your stuff reminds me a lot of k/eternal's graphics; I'd say you're up to par with those graphics.
