Maybe it's just me, but I think KOJ currently noticed 2 major things that will affect their competitiveness in the market to do an unusual move
1) Andamiro and Prime
2) More international interest in music games

Otherwise it's just speculation. Going to cross my fingers for the best in the next coming months

As a question for everyone: Is the website language switching to english? Looks like in my case it doesn't.

This is not exciting news at all; sure we might get e-Amusement support, but most arcades here in the US (outside of Cali, New York, and other popular places that were blessedly grazed by recent BEMANI) won't even have (or bother paying for) these machines. The only thing that would make me jizz on the spot would be KoJ announcing the unthinkable, and of course that would be the revival of IIDX CS on current generation consoles.

We were waiting 13 years for MAX. (Period) to come to AC which actually happened, so I wouldn't be so sure if the time could be used to make any assumptions really even though MAX. was only a song. I don't see why they'd shut down PW if it doesn't cut into their profits in some way, so it would actually make a lot of sense for them to announce this so soon after. Then again I haven't been in this community long enough for something like this to happen, so I don't really understand Konami's logic quite yet. I'm personally going to remain optimistic on this for the time being.

You were still able to make an account; only difference now is that it's slightly easier because it's translated, you don't have to answer the security question in Japanese, and you can register as a user outside Japan.

I should be going to R1 on Saturday to see if anything different will happen now that my card is linked to the new, American account; I highly doubt much is gonna change, though I'm crossing my fingers I might now play against other people from my local R1, but that's wishful thinking.

You pretty much made my argument for me. MAX.(period) is just a song and can't be compared to an entirely new game.

What we're asking for isn't technically a new game either though, but rather the ability to play already released games and give them more money. Still, I can see why pretty much everyone else doesn't think that it'll happen, but it seems to me that they're hopefully starting a trend of doing cool things for the community.
Yeah I'm pretty much just blindly optimistic, with my only backup being the announcement so soon after the PW shutdown, so I can see why everyone else is pessimistic about this.

I think it's safe to say that many people (including yourself) don't regard IIDX CS as highly as I do, but that's okay, I'll continue hoping for that possibility despite the odds...
