I think it's pretty obvious that we're getting more Dancemania songs, this time from 3rd and 4th mix. If you recognize the trend, we got mixes 1&2 in X, 2&3 in X2, and now we're getting 3&4 for X3.

I'm really surprised that they use "X3" for the name, pretty funny imo.
The banner is nice. I hope that everything will be better than X/X2... by far.

I really get shocked by the news, but, that's the official tittle of this Arcade? DDR X3 vs Dance Dance Revolution 2nd mix? , it feels way to gimmick, for what i see in the picture it was taken from a real arcade machine, i dunno what think....

DDR X3 and DDR II are going to share songs and assets, in the same way that DDR X2 and Musicfit shared assets. Not only is that the most obvious explanation, but it was already announced by Naoki a few weeks ago.

I'm still curious, will the Dancemania licenses be removed after sometime?
It's just that the revivals are so kick-ass, why not make them permanent?

It's fine to try and figure out why the machine has that intentionaly weird and confusing marque, but when the threads just turn into pages and pages of people saying things like "I THINK THIS GAME WILL HAVE A NEW SONG CALLED "BOOM BOOM DOLLAR (KORS K vs LED MIX)", with no evidence other than "it would be cool", it just makes the threads painful to read.

It is painful to read, but it is the only time for people to "vent" their "wants" instead of their "needs".
Sure it gets to the point where their speculation is irrelevant, but that's why we wait for page 20 for anything remotely important.

imo, they should have dropped the X name after X1 as it was being used for 10 years of DDR.
10 Years of DDR 3 doesnt really make sense D:
If Naoki makes a new Max, i hope he perfects it, makes it sound nice / good this time round ^^

I feel like the X means this is a new generation of DDR.
Although maybe this was more apparent in X2 than X1, but I think they should keep going with it.

"X" was also used with the GF/DM series as well. It just signified a new generation of the games. Now we have the "XG" series for those games though so who knows what crazy prefixes will follow.
Licensing issues. Permission is granted on a per game basis and they have to renew the license and rights to use the music in the game with each iteration of the series. The only way they could be permanent is if Konami bought out the rights to their music (and the artist agreed).
Anyways, looking forward to X3. I'll probably check out the test location version to see all the hub bub.
