As for the liscence steps/songs I really don't have high hopes for them...Alot of those songs don't really belong in ddr. There all great songs but i can see playing ddr to some of them

Overall very happy with this year's license picks. Although the charts will probably be on the easy side, there's always edit mode.

Gotta Dance (A Brighter Day just keeps growing on me...)
THIS NIGHT (Sounds awesome from the trailer)
Taking it to the Sky (U1 dance pop song? Yes please!)
Heatstroke (A TAG vocal song, should be interesting)
Ropoongi EVOLVED (Do I even have to explain this one?)
KIMONO <3 PRINCESS (It's a jun song with a <3 in the title, what more could you want?)
You Are A Star (I really like Anna Kaelin's voice, so I'm curious to see how this is)
Freeze (nc ft NRG Factory <3)
Shine (TOMOSUKE~~)
Sacred Oath (TERRA rarely disappoints, especially with songs made for DDR)

I am of course looking forward to all of them, but those are the ones that really stick out to me. The KO list is looking fabulous this year, a definite improvement over X.

Now for hopes~~

-More Japanese Wii revivals (NO CRIME and Double Tornard, looking at you)
-Stuff missing from X/SN2 JP
-Some hot revivals (Freeway Shuffle, Raspberry Heart, and SUNKiSS DROP got new oni charts, Konami *nudge nudge*)
-Some new hidden KOs. I suspect that we know most of the songlist by now, but it would be sweet to have a few more new KOs slip in somewhere.

I'm still trying to decide if I should get a metal pad. It would be much easier to decide if someone would hurry up and release a good pad that supports Octo-Move! But, I don't have a 360 yet so it'd be more of a PS2/Wii/USB issue for now. If there was a way to make 8-arrow mode in Stepmania selectable in Dance mode, it might convince me to finish my theme too... *muses*

For the sake of something to talk about, I read that DDROC asked players for a a list of the best DDR songs. Now, the Vol.1 rumor is out the window but in that post, the moderator asked for 10-15 songs which is a fitting number for X2. What do you guys think?

I could honestly say the collection of songs that the members listed are more than likely going to be set for DLC for the PS3/360 versions, 10-15 could just be one pack for a certain game (ex. DDRMAX, DDRMAX2, DDR EXTREME, etc.)

Unless DDR X2 will surprise us with a song list of over 100 songs, i doubt that what you said holds true to X2 =/

And they would never bring back any Dancemania songs because they cut off ties (which totally sucks cause those are the songs most people danced to like 3rd mix and MAX/MAX2)
