I think each system will have a differnt song list I dont think Konami would make one song list and realese it for 4 systems they would lose a lot of money and plus the ps3 and 360 I would think would have DLC.

How would a universal songlist across the systems = money loss?

PS2 Should have crossovers from previous Wii and XBOX 360 games. Same goes for Wii in terms of crossovers, and XBOX 360. Plus, KYOTO EVOLVED! Lolz hopefully. Or Hokkaido evolved. Nya, this kitty is on to something, nya!

The very few that have multiple systems that would normally buy each and every game released now would only be convinced to buy one. I don't think that's going to hurt Konami's market. If anything I think this is great way to test and see that when given a choice, which console to our players prefer? Now that the PS2 is losing it's grip as the mainstream console they might be trying to figure out which console will carry the flag for the next three years.

It would be nice if The Cube is added to this game. But I still doubt it.

I think having a standardized songlist isn't a bad thing. Other music games do it, and it doesn't seem to hurt sales. I think have different songlists on each system is bad for the console makers, but not the consumer or company. I'm sures its cheaper for them to license across multiconsole then to get a bunch of different songlists. This also might mean that they'll put more songs on each release since they don't have to worry about that stuff.

Yeah, if they stick us with 70 songs again, that's going to suck. If they're releasing it across four consoles all with the same songlist, they should beef it up at least a little.

What you guys need to realize is, we DDR-obsessed gamers represent the very small minority that buy DDR across all systems (well, I only buy PS2 and Wii) People who buy Universe won't say "This doesn't say Universe! I'm not buying it!" and same goes for Wii owners, ps2 owners... they just buy the game on the system they have.

Yes. I put it in my number 1. AND BECAUSE I BOUGHT DANCING STAGE SUPERNOVA 2, Konami should give me service for that. So The Cube. Now. gentle stress from DDR 2ndMix Club would be nice too.

Cause no one will buy for other systems if each game had the same song list many people have ps3 and 360 so if they buy it for ps2 then 360 wont make that sale see many people would buy for ps2 so that how they would lose a lot of money

Please use punctuation. As Aeron said, the same songlist would not hurt Konami's sales, it will only hurt the systems. Why buy a PS3 for DDRVol.1 when you already have a Wii, knowing that the songlist will be the same?

Exactly. Everybody will still buy for whichever console they already do, meaning the main series will stay with Sony. Just a few songs, about 10 and maybe DLC, unique to each console would allow for some variety while maintaining the overlap needed to catch the interest of consumers.

Not to mention the expenses that will go down when you've only got one sound team, graphic team, etc. etc. Sales are important, but if you can cut your expenses, you can make an even bigger profit with smaller sales. This game will not cost a lot to make, especially if a majority of the songlist is just old Konami Originals.

combining the unique features of each system:

the mods of the Wii games and the lack of edit mode
the framerate of the Xbox games
nonstop and challenge mode sharing the same courses

Well, as of X we're starting to get absolutely unacceptable loading times for song previews. Don't get that from the other consoles.

...uuuummmm last time i played Ultramix/hottest Party 2, the load times for the previews were still pretty slow to me...

...almost like X CS, BUT it would be nice to have a much faster time for song previews

Hey, did you guys hear that GH5 is planning on actually releasing ALL of the songs from the game when you buy it? That's crazy! I wouldn't want to get a game where i buy it and i already get what i want...wait....

...let me put it this way, i would rather like to go through the entire game, working my butt off to unlock new songs and whatever instead of just getting it the first time i turn the game on. For me, it makes the game more valuable and worth the money you had to cash out to pay for it. Plus, it would take a lesser time for you to get bored of the game instead of having a game where you go through a storyline/whatever to unlock new things...

...on the other hand, GH5 will allow you to transfer ALL of your songs from GH:WT and you can play them...

I hope DDR Vol. 1 doesn't do anything like this, sure i DO want to play the classics/new songs/whatever songs we get, but i would rather like to go through something and work my way for it than to just get it initially...
