DDR X Conversation Kits Shipping!
Kits that upgrade machines from the SuperNOVA series to X will be arriving into various stores starting today. I think the number of people who can play X will increase after today, so I'm really happy!

There are a lot of parts to be switched with this upgrade kit, so it may take your arcade a little while to set it up at first. I hope store employees are very careful while installing!

AOU2009 Amusement Expo!
AOU2009 will be held this year on Thursday, February 21st. The special Konami site has already opened for this event.

And it has been decided that the arcade edition of DanceDanceRevolution X will make an appearance there! DDR X is already in many arcades, but there's something special about playing it at an event such as this. There will probably be some more details revealed soon, so keep your eyes and ears open!

How to Play: PARTY ZONE

How is everyone?
This is take Nov.-7 from DDR X CS.

It's still cold outside isn't it?
It's this time of year that people gather round the fire together.
And with everyone together, it's a great chance to play PARTY ZONE!

I'll teach you all how to play today.

There is a certain option called "Threshold Level" in PARTY ZONE. If you set the options to STRICT, and COMBO, your combo will only go up when you get a MARVELOUS.
(You can read more about this on the DDR X Special Site!)

With only MARVELOUS allowing your combo to go up, it seems pretty difficult...

But I decided to try it anyways!

Flourish / BASIC
33 Combo


Playa (Original Mix) / DIFFICULT
23 Combo


Party Lights / EXPERT
20 Combo


SABER WING / CHALLENGE
9 Combo...

On that last song, I could never get it past 10 combos because I was so nervous. But I often get nervous when playing hard songs. I encourage everyone to try it out as well!

If you're playing with a beginner, please set "Threshold" to easy and set some handicaps for them!

Dunno, did anyone even play Party Zone lol?

it's impossible (sorta), wanna know why? Last time i "went" on there it asked for ANOTHER PS2 with ANOTHER GAME for this to work...

...i was all "WHAT?" so pretty much Party Zone is rendered useless UNLESS you have two PS2's, an Ethernet cable to connect them (LAN capability), and two DDR X's...

...but i could be wrong though >_>

maxninja, it seems that you're the only one that's able to find out. You're friends with another user (Destructo-bot) and you guys go to the same school.

To this community, anyway, you're the only ones that live close enough to find out.

Go take you PS2, your TV and a copy of DDR to his/her house and try it out.

100% Achievement
This is a bit of a spoiler.
Everyday since the sale of Furu Furu Party and DDR X, the DDR Staff has been trickling out information everyday.

And as I looked at the calender, I noticed something...



We posted on 100% of the days!

Thanks to everyone who reads the blog!

We'll be working hard to keep trickling out information, so please check back often.

If we stop posting so much, you might think "Are they not allowed to talk about it yet?" or "Are they too busy?" though...(bitter smile).

...she graduated and i'm still stuck in high school (senior year though, so in about a couple months i will be gone )

...now if she can let me know when they will have like some sort of party, then hell yes we will try that >_>

Oh, Oh, here's a CRAZY idea: What happens if we connect her JP PS2 with my US PS2 and have a LAN party using the JP CS and US CS of DDR X? (it might crash the system lol)
