So my dad finally caved-in on virtual console and wiiware. I just finally bought a classic controller pro and 2000 Wii points card. My dad was like, "This is what the card looks like? It's really just like prepaid cards for cellphone load/credits?". He expected a device that plugs in on the wii. As for the controller, he sarcastically remarked that I'll get better on it, since I am more used to this kind of controller layout. Sorry, but I like my motion controls thank you very much. My brother in law asked me what multiplayer games to download so we can play together. I remember telling him before that the classic controller is an add-on, not a separate controller.

And this was MY SALES PITCH FOR THE CONSOLE BECAUSE BOXED GAMES ARE EXPENSIVE (unless you really want to play Luxor or Bejeweled on it). I told them I could buy a special controller and some prepaid cards and I can download games because the wii, in principle is like a cellphone, you can load it up with credits but they are used to download games and stuff.

tl;dr, I wanted this to happen when I bought my wii, not 9 months later. Must've been hell with just Mario Kart Wii and Resident Evil 4 upon purchase and DDR 2010 this January.

Maybe I should've made a powerpoint presentation on it, like that kid on the Windows 7 commercial, when he convinced his mom to buy a dog for him.

Also, for those who were in the chat when I had my wii on and played RE4, I finally found out the problem. The problem was voltage, the storekeeper (same store where I bought my wii) suggested I use a transformer or a voltage regulator and plug in the 110V power brick on it. He also said that how authentic the 220V power brick looked like, it is a third party accessory and you know what the Nintendo help files say about those.

It's probably one other thing that should've been fixed when I just bought my wii. My excuse was we had to plug it on a power strip/extension where we usually plug in laptop and cellphone chargers, and I guess stutters are likely since we don't observe if the charger stops and restarts charging for a few moments.
