I know. No one thing in the world has been universally liked by every single one. People will judge it according to their own opinions and views. The point is that like it or hate it, it's just someone's opinion. It was only opinion before the DLC and it is definitely only opinion now.

The licorice analogy is apt. However I'm not calling people idiots for saying they don't like licorice, it's just annoying that there are people who hate it so much that they won't stop calling -me- an idiot for not hating it along with them. And there are some that still do, even now.

Suit yourself, I praise it because it's very very good. It doesn't matter if there are flaws or mistakes or if droves of angry people tell me I'm crazy for enjoying it. I didn't get to play Mass Effect when it first came out but I knew that once I did I was going to like it a lot. And when I finally got to play it I had the rare opportunity to play all three back to back to back. I finished the series with the first game still fresh in my mind because I was pulling 12 hour gaming sessions just because I couldn't wait to see the next part of the story.

So yeah, the awesome factor of the whole series is still there for me because I wrapped up playing all three games about a month ago. And while I've seem SciFi and played games that are better, this one is still pretty far up there. If you disagree with that, then you disagree with that. But if you're genuinely in pain because I like something you hate, then you need to go see someone.


I never thought it was vague or confusing, others did. That's what I referred to. If you think Mass Effect 3 prior to the Extended Cut DLC was confusing you shouldn't try reading a Heinlein novel. Shepard turned away from the Catalyst and towards the green glow of the energy stream. Mustering what strength was left, Shepard dropped the pistol to the ground and started limping to the edge of the platform. Faster, faster, now running, now sprinting. Shepard leapt and began to freefall into the blinding light. It felt almost like flying. The End.

Played some of the Extended Cut DLC, but only as far as talking to the god-child. I didn't have enough time to see the actual endings yet.

I'm glad they actually explained why my team isn't with me anymore after all the kill-beams hit and why they're on the Normandy. I'm rather worried seeing Tali covered in blood, though. Not so worried about Garrus, because despite looking in as bad condition as Tali, he's still walking about like catching Mako explosions with his face is just another day on the job. I did like the extra conversation with Tali and seeing how worried she is about my Shepard going off on his own, though.

Glad they decided to include actual dialogue options with the god-child this time around. It still irritates the piss out of me how they introduce a character like that at the last second and included no option for questions the first time because they didn't think it was important or that we'd want to know what the hell it is. I also love the option to clarify on each of the ending choices so a better picture is painted of what could possibly happen.

But it was getting late and I had to shut off the game before I had a chance to make that last choice. I will say that I'm liking the EC so far, though. It just has to make sure not to botch the very last part of it.

You know, like Bioware did with the ending the first time around.

Actually, all it does is destroy the whole idea that Shepard was lying on the ground dreaming the whole thing.

There's still some merit to the theories though. You want see something that'll scramble your brain? Listen to what happens immediately after Anderson starts talking to Shepard from this point:

That was added along with the Extended Cut, in fact that whole scene got redone. That didn't happen originally. o_o;

Of course it's my opinion. And if I don't like a game or whatever else that's my opinion too. Though I don't find myself going around the internet telling everybody how stupid they are for liking what I don't.

...The next DLC for ME3 that's being hinted at is not what I was expecting, but you know what? It still sounds really interesting and I can't wait to play it.

Somebody that I used to know is in Fed prison for child pronz.

Got a $250 ticket for not picking up dog waste. Mind you, this was in a grassy pokémon square (like, one yard by one yard (approx 1m x 1m for our metric friends) You could not even see it.

Let me tell you something, pendejo. You pull any of your crazy shit with us, you flash a piece out on the lanes, I'll take it away from you, stick it up your ass and pull the fucking trigger 'til it goes "click."

Just played all the new endings. All of them.

- When placing the name plates on the Normandy's memorial wall in the Destroy ending, why do they delay putting Shepard's name on the wall but are so quick to dismiss Anderson as dead? Neither of them radioed in or otherwise made contact, so is there any actual reason yet for them to believe that only one would make it?

- In the Control ending, I like that the Reapers have been stopped and even successfully repurposed into guardians/mass relay repairbots. What do you supposed happens to the freakier Reaper soldiers made up from the dead bodies of other species? I personally can't imagine a practical use for Ravagers or Banshees.

- I have to say, in the Synthesis ending, some of the races look a lot more intimidating than others. Krogan look scary as hell with glowing green eyes. I found it rather humorous that James seemed to be the only human without the glowing eyes, though. Probably too meat-headed to accept all the technological advances in his body. Also, I almost cried like a bitch when Tali hugged EDI at the memorial wall.

- The Refusal ending actually seems like a bit of a slap in the face to people who didn't like the endings the first time around. A common complaint I remember was being thrown a few ending choices and not being able to argue them, but rather being forced to just accept whatever the god-child fed us. Now that we have the option to argue it, it kinda feels like the ending is Bioware saying "No, your Shepard is a bitch and he's going to take whatever our last-second robo-deity gives him" or you get a fancied-up "YOU FAILED" cutscene.

- I like how after my team got injured and the Normandy had to pick them up, Harbinger just kind of sits there and ceases all attempts to wipe me and my team out so they can leave safely. He even gives my Shep time to have a last teary-eyed goodbye with Tali. Good to know that an omnicidal race of machines are such good sports.

- Glad to see the mass relays simply crumble a bit and lose their rings instead of violently exploding yet not destroying the entire system containing them like they did in the ME2 Arrival DLC. This was one of the most irritating plot holes in the original ending to me.

- Baby krogan are kinda cute.

- Still feels like a lot of my previous choices didn't matter.

- So we see what happens to the quarians and the krogan, but what about all the other species? Last we saw of the turians, the Reapers were obliterating Palaven.

- Again Shepard survived breathing in space, and a station explosion, possibly followed by more breathing in space.

- At least in the last pop-up, they weren't so blunt as to say "Continue upon the legend with DLC" like they did last time.

So are the Extended Cut endings perfect? No, but they're significantly better. However, I still find it rather hard to forgive the last-second addition of the god-child saying "Yeah, you have a high enough score, pick an ending." For me, I feel the game ends after Anderson dies.

From that point, I assume the Crucible fires as planned and wipes out the Reapers. Then Shepard leaves to build a house on Rannoch with Tali, where they live off the royalties from the vids, complain that they can't have mutant human-quarian babies for a while, then maybe adopt a little drell kid.

Garrus and Wrex can come visit, too.


I thought you said people that didn't like it or understand it weren't thinking enough or something to that effect.


You mean more multiplayer DLC where they introduce more human character classes and no new enemies? Yeah, I can't wait for that either.
