Going in Hillbilly Shoes was the song I was least excited for, and now I think its the best. Strange cuts aside, I was pretty pleased with all of them. Not like the crappy license charts we used to get back in the day.....well, in the middle of the day I suppose, they were originally pretty good. Then something happened right around the apex of its popularity in the US.

I'm more shocked that they gave the new license songs 12s and 13s for charts. I thought they would do the classic US licenses songs steps and make them too damn easy.

IMO, the popular songs' charts are some of the best stepcharts for licenses I've ever seen!

First, the bad: those charts tend to be overrated especially compared to other songs of their rating from DDR A. The cut of I Want You To Know is kind of jarring, and Wake Me Up's edit is pretty terrible, which is a shame, since those are two of the best songs.
The good: Charts are pretty good! Hillbilly Shoes is the surprise hit, steps look really fun and work well with the song. The music selection is really strong, and glad to see them stepped well. If this is the kind of quality they're going for with Western licenses, I can't wait to see where we go from here!

Looks like they didn't get the people who stepped DDR I/II to step these new licenses. Thank God. Pretty satisfied with all the new 
charts, though some songs have awkward cuts (like Break Free). Hopefully I can make my way over to Dave & Buster's to play.

Believe was the most awkward cut for me. Just as the electro section happens, it slam cuts to the outro. I guess if you prefer CeCe's part, it won't be a problem. Likewise, Wake Me Up was a bit weird and I understand that people wanting the instrumental chorus would be a bit let down, but it wasn't all that bad. I Want You to Know was a tiny bit odd, but I'm warming up to it. Break Free was at least clever in changing the musical context of the ending, and the rest of the cut was identical to mine, so obviously I'm good with it. No qualms with Hillbilly Eyes, SUAD, or Happy. Don't know how Time of Our Lives sounds, but if it's throwing off sync, I bet a cutting point will be glaringly obvious.
