Well, I'm officially done with high school. All that's left is graduation next Friday. Hopefully this means I won't have to deal with everyone's childish bullshit drama anymore!

If you make friends with a person that has social anxiety issues, forget him. I have a friend with social anxiety and I try inviting him to outings with some other friends. For six weeks in a row, he refused to go. I hope I won't have him for theory 3 classes.

^ It's not his fault. I've had social anxiety for about seven years and I've been talking with my therapist. I'm working as hard as I can to overcome it.

Ignoring him is probably the worst you can do for him.

I wouldn't be so sure about not dealing with childish bullshit drama part. Some people never mature past high school so you're likely to still see it but then again it's easier to ignore it once out of high school.


Met a few of them and it sucks but I helped as much as I could. I agree with not leaving them there to rot but there are some out there that seem beyond help sometimes.

I found most of the bullshit (bullying, etc) to occur in my Jr High (5-8th grades, from ages 10-14). People didn't have respect for others.

I blame that for my social anxeity, tbh. However, I made most of my friends in High School and find that people are FAR more mature than they used to be.

Same here although I had different circumstances because of the loss of my eyesight. The type of bullying/mockey that comes from being blind seems to scar in a different way although I can't really explain it even today. Not having respect for others was an understatement in that sense but then again, I really don't expect much from kids at that age or expect them to understand something that is way beyond their mentality.

Yeah I hate to break your bubble but your going to meet many people and be in many places where people are still going to pull that kind of High School bs you so think your getting away from. Its been the same with every job I've had. All those annoying people who think there acting like adults by being jerks/idiots in HS are going to act that way as adults.

Just ask my mom, she left her last job (a receptionist at an animal clinic) a year ago (she had been working there for over 20 years!) and got another job at another animal clinic and loves this one better. She left because of childish bullshit drama. You just have to find the right workplace. The guy that owns this animal clinic keeps a small staff (himself and 2 or 3 receptionists) so there shouldn't be any drama.

Yea very true. I've met those type of people in college and work. It's kind of sad to see it since you'd think drama would die down once you get into the real world but then again being in college or having a job doesn't automatically make a person mature. I still know quite a few people that are around my age that are proof of it but oh well.
