Naoki and U of the DDR X Arcade Staff will be appearing on the Japanese technology show "ギョーテック" this Friday. It is noted by the DDR FROM STAFF entry that a dedicab of DDR X was present at the taping and that they filmed quite a lot of it.

Hopefully Mieya (or someone else) is able to watch it and see what kind of info is given out. If not, the website of the show will have a sort-of wrap-up report on the show.

Kind of funny, on the page for next weeks show, you can see several members of the show standing next to the DDR X machine.

Bump: The next AC DDR will be released in Japan on December 24th, 2008 as stated in this entry in the DDR STAFF BLOG.

...but then that means that JP will get theirs first then... i thought this was a simultaneous release on same day T__T

...on the other hand, this may mean that if JP gets theirs in December, we MAY get ours in January (i can wait)

I've never seen any such thing available on or soon after the official release date, anyway.

If my local arcade tells me they're planning to get DDR X, I'll tell them I'll stop coming. I'd rather play on Extreme than listen to that terrible announcer, and have no way to turn him off, especially during songs.

...True, normally once it "releases" it takes arcades days, weeks, maybe even months to get it into their place...

Still though, at least the announcement of the AC DDR X for JP will tell us that the US will get theirs soon...i hope >_>
