I've thrown the idea of a 1-12 scale for DDR around in the chat quite a bit and have said that I wish they implemented it instead of the 1-20 scale. Obviously it's too late for it to be a possibility now, but today just for kicks I made a list of the hardest songs in DDR and how I think they would be rated/rerated if a future DDR mix converted everything back to the old 1-10 scale and tacked on 11 and 12 ratings. As you can see, the thresholds and ranges for the 11 and 12 ratings are higher than their ITG equivalents.

Unfortunately the indents I used in the list didn't translate well from the document into this post so I apologize for the cruddy formatting. That is, if you choose to read it anyway.

I don't understand why you're inventing another rating system when the In The Groove 1-15 scale already exists and is so close to what you're suggesting anyways.

Last time I checked, official ITG only went up to 13.

Because I like 12 as a top tier number more than 13 (or 15 if you wish). It also would be pretty boring just to say "I think DDR should use the ITG scale".
