...showing no coverage of DDR X, but DDR U3 and HP2? ....it may be that they want to keep us at the edge of our seats trying to figure out what songs are on there, but what worries me the most is that why aren't they giving us coverage of the 10th anniversary game of DDR? It's just....odd =/ But i'm going to stop speculating and just to wait it out....well until something comes out before the game is released =) but aren't we just really waiting for the game ultimately? I mean, IF they announce something new, like a song list, we would get all excited about it, and once we get it...we know what's going to be on there...well then we have the songs that we have to unlock, but we mostly now SOME of the new songs that we have to unlock in the game...all i'm just saying is that they are probably going to keep us guessing UNTIL the date of the release, but no coverage of the game? It seems very weird...

As a matter of fact, i don't want to see the default song list...i don't want to spoil myself with what songs are going to be there, i would rather be surprised of what they have in store, and if they don't have what i expected, oh well, there's always going to be another mix coming soon...

ok seriously, what was with all the GH hate on the previous page? a game is more popular than DDR, that doesnt make those people wrong. no, GH doesnt teach you how to play guitar, how is this a valid point? soul calibur 4 isnt teaching me how to jump around like crazy and throw a light saber(yoda ) but its still fun. they(we) arent wrong for enjoying GH, and you(we) arent wrong for enjoying DDR. also, if you actually sat down and played it you would find that expert is a lot of fun. also, my left forearm is now as big as my right, as i now have an activity for my left hand as well as my right. thanks GH!

I wouldn't say that. Yes, GH and Rock Band are enjoying a rather nice success with their games, and they sell a lot. But, in terms of worldwide recognition, in terms of pop culture, DDR is much more popular.

I know this is totally irrelevant to the DDR/GH debate, is the Sept. 18 release date confirmed for DDR X (home)?

September 16th is the "ship" date, which means that game stores will most likely have it for sale by the 17th or 18th.

It's because the people at E3 focused mainly on Guitar Hero.

What pisses me (and many others) off is they wouldn't give a second glance at a game that gives the greatest amount of weight loss compared to all game; a game that has been out for much longer than Guitar Hero; a game currently on its 10th year in existence, keeping back a great deal of its secrets from the anxious fans of the game.

I don't hate Guitar Hero, I like it. It's a fine game in its respective area. I just hate massive attention for a game most people play on the couch.

Anyway, we do need to stop hating on GH right now. We're going to need the space here for people trying to unlock songs when it comes out in a month and a half.

It was cool when it first came out in EX2, but it's just so hard to get points sometimes. I had to play 30 songs to get enough points to unlock PH and TMP on SN2 US.

Agreed. It's worth noting that there are more SPECULATION posts for DDR X, then ALL posts for DDR/DS SN2.
Dude, get a turbo controller, and set it up to continuously fail something that's rated high on basic. Go to sleep. Wake up rich.
Alternatively, convince your younger sibling to keep pushing these certain buttons when these certain things happen. My older brother had me farming for him on FF1 when I was 5.
Or build something out of legos to hit the buttons to fail repeatedly through the night.

I actually didn't mind the shop points system. It kinda gave me an excuse to play the game a bit longer. My only gripe was EX2 and its uber-expensive extra costumes (read: palette swaps)...which is why I never bothered unlocking them.

And yet all the non ddr'ers and casual gamers say the same thing about a new DDR on each system every year..." OMG NOT ANOTHER ONE! NOT MORE DDR.. D: "

Because some non DDR'ers don't know the next DDR. That's why some people on my country when i asked about new DDR machine, they even don't know. Some of them only know the last DDR like 3rd Mix, Extreme but not SuperNOVA even SuperNOVA2 and DDR X.

I feel funny for Street Mode. Emi or Rage take a long journey from place to place, meet another DDR characters, challenge each other, gain famous and we can get hidden songs. What a simple story.

At least it's better than SuperNOVA Stellar Master Mode.

Well, notice that none of the screenshots have the "point" score alone with the regular score. I guess it's not 100% certain, but it seems that the point system will no longer be there.
