"In any form" -> The new KOs

That's mincing words a little too hard. DDR II is a great game (mostly because the games before it were complete trash), but even before the first unlocks are revealed the new KOs, crossovers, licenses, engine, 2ndMIX Mode, etc. show that any relation to X3 has to II is superficial at best.

>DDR II background music
>DDR II visuals when song is selected
>DDR II songs in default list and enjoy level unlocks

In other words, DDR II has about as much relation to DDR X3 as SN2 US CS had to SN2 AC. Quite a lot, really.

Visually, it looks similar to DDR II (even to that there are changes and improvements over II) and it has some of the same music. That's where the similarities stop. The differences between the two are much greater.

On that note, I wager that X3 has Replicant D-Action just like X2, and that it will look visually just like DDR II.

Well, no. If you look back to the murky days of 2007, remember that SN2 US CS only had about half the songs that ended up in the final arcade version, and only a few of the boss songs. The rest was made of songs from older mixes which hadn't made it to a US release yet. A very similar situation to DDR II's place between X2 and X3, really.

As for replicant, who knows? We still haven't gotten on any word if X3 -has- a special boss folder, much less what it looks like.

Yeah DDR II (which I love and still religiously play) is still mainly about X2 catch ups. I for one can't wait, the game shall impress us with what's left.
I don't play simulators. Only the real official games.

"Give me a steady beat."
I posted the wrong pic, it was from X2 :V

But someone on twitter is saying that there's no option for Edits in 2ndMIX Mode. Sad

I have recieved word from Bemani Wiki that there are a few rating changes.

MAXX UNLIMITED ESP is now a 16.

PARANOiA Survivor ESP is now a 15. (FINALLY!)

B4U (VOLTAGE SPECIAL) SINGLES is now a 14. (Could've been a 15, but I'll take it.)

PARANOiA ~HADES~ DSP was bumped up to a 15 AND ESP was FINALLY bumped up to a 16!

And last, but most certainly not least, Pluto Relinquish DSP was bumped up to a 14.
deez nuts

"X scale 20"
Agree with the rating changes. I assume DSP means Difficult Single and ESP is Expert Single.

Looks like we just got our "second" true boss-level Standard chart. (Valkyrie dimension is debatable.)

MAXX UNLIMITED is a 16 and LOM stays a 15? strange, they are about the same as far as how hard they are.

Besides that I agree with all of the changes. Especially Paranoia Survivor.

...Oh wow o_O

About time, huh? I friggin' KNEW that Hades DSP and ESP were 15 and 16 respectively. I would say same goes for Survivor ESP going up to a 15, but I think that's pretty much a universal agreement.

It's sad how excited I get for rating changes, but I am glad that Maxx Unlimited is a 16 and Paranoia Survivor is a 15, especially with 14s seemingly getting easier. Did Sakura Sunshine remain a 15 from the test location?

ETA: I didn't see that Paranoia Hades Expert single is a 16. Another good re-rating. That was easily my worst 15. It's kind of funny that it was once considered an old scale 9-footer.

I was ok with a 13 for B4U (VOLTAGE SPECIAL) CSP. Still acceptable for a 14. But it's a no for a 15. Cos if it's a 15, Then CDP can be upped from 15 to 17 -.-...

& yes, Pluto Relinquish DSP should be a 14 imo (Compare to DDP which is a "15". Both should be a 14 imo)

Wow for HADES DSP. It shall be the easiest 15 for me Big Grin

For me, LoM is much easier than MAXX UNLIMITED.

"Give me a steady beat."
Does that also mean no English Asian release?

"proud to be #2400"
What would it take for Konami to release English supplementary materials for those enjoying their Japanese games elsewhere?

I'm trying to find some confirmations. Or other options atm. Not much information beyond that.
